Mr.OC is not loving it as much because it's a v-6 and no dual exhaust. But it's a convertible. So.

Because I just bought a Mustang convertible. I am so excited. I had a mustang gt, that ran great with over 200,000 miles on it. Got rear-ended. sad but now I have a convertible.

My two cents. There is nothing hotter than a woman in a convertable. I've been known to drive miles the wrong way just to stay alongside a long legged woman driving a jeep wrangler with the top off and doors removed.

Before I had the last mustang I had a Wrangler. I loved it, but they weren't great for long trips. My two cents. There is nothing hotter than a woman in a convertable. Yep, I told Mr.OC I have to go get my hair done now and do some clothes shopping because I feel pressured to look good when driving a convertible.
My keets are past the car seat age. They're worse. They are in the mom can I borrow the stang age.
Mon- this is my reward for fifteen years of mini-vans or cherokees.
Mustangs are terribly addictive apparently. We were a Jeep family for years, cherokees and then the wrangler. Now we're on our second mustang.
If I don't have it figured out by tomorrow I"ll take you up on that. BN'ers are so great.Take a ride to the other end of the island and I will happily assist you.
I still have the GT, complete with dented trunk and bumper. MrOc is thinking of fixing it and driving it til it dies. That car could clearly kick my new vert's butt power wise.

I can't imagine NOT having a convertible.
I loved my aftermarket sunroofs in the 70's, and in '86 bought a brand new "girly" ragtop in a "boy" color (dark blue/dark blue top VW Cabriolet)
Over 300,000 top-down miles later, I still drive it in the Summer!
Taught all three kids how to drive a stick w/ manual steering in it.
Don't fret the V-6, my inline 4 has given me countless thousands of hours of top-down fun that have been just as thrilling as my 450 HP adventures.
I've had many a Summer day where I've flown the Seaplane, taken out the boat, and driven the tiny under-powered Vdub, yet enjoyed all the experiences equaly.

My old beloved 1st generation Toyota 4Runner with the hard top removed. Behind the driver and back seats open to the sun.
4 trips to Key West. 4 trips to Daytona Beach. Countless trips to the outer banks. She had 265,000 miles when I finally sold her. Man, I miss that truck.
I think I need to buy a new convertible toy.
