"Spiderman 3"

Post by trojan_sixtyone »

Save yourself the money and wait for this one to come out on DVD.

As a fan of comic books (and their respective film adaptations), I can say that this is not a must-see. The plot is very weak, most of the acting is mediocre, and the music is distracting at times. I have no idea why Columbia-Sony allowed Raimi to go forward using the script they did.

There is a silly musical number, the dialog seems far from genuine and phony (and at times, downright goofy), and there are too many bad guys. The storyline with Harry, Jr is pointless and has a foolish resolution, and Sandman is turned into a wuss with a very disappointing ending.

So, if you are trying to decide whether or not to shell out $10+ to see this in theaters, wait until it hits Blockbuster.

Unfortunately, I'm going to see it tonight with some friends. My buddy wants to see it and he is getting married next week, so I'm gonna go with him. I haven't even seen the first couple....just not into that kinda stuff.

I don't remeber the first two being that great storywise.
But hey as long as there's some cool special effects......

So...

Your saying a movie studio put out a sequel with a weak script, bad acting and some cool special effects just to make money?

Say it ain't so!!!!

Most of us are not sticklers for detail when it comes to how these films translate from the comics to the big screen, we just want them to be fun.

I realize that the comic faithful look for the minutae (just wait for Michael Bay's Transformer's if you want to pick a film apart. ) to be incorporated into the film.
So, there's going to be some people disappointed and others will be entertained and move on to the next film.

I'm guessing that Spiderman 3 will be good, but not great.
I figure it's got too much going on for one film to adequately flesh out the story arcs, but in this ADD world, a lot of young folks won't have a problem with that.

Just MHO.

It really is not that good. Not to be a buzz kill but there is too little action for all the campy forgiveness crap Raimi throws in your face.

I won't give anything away, But Bruce Campbell got the most applause for his role . . . much deserved!
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

I am not a fan of the franchise, and would have to agree. I thought the story was weak at times, and the love story angle grows tiring.

Lots going on, and about 15-30 too long.

We took the keets last night to see it and of couse they loved it. There were parts of it that I thought were very silly and just not very Spiderman movie-ish. This movie wasn't as dark, imo, as the others. It had a little humor sometimes. But, the keets loved it and that was the ONLY reason we went.

I liked it, not as good as 2, and it was a little long, but it's worth seeing in theatres.

This was a really good action movie. The best WWE one ino.
Lots of violence and some funny lines.
I'll definitely buy it on DVD.
Can't say I was suprised because I thought the previews looked pretty good.

Saw it last night on a huge IMAX screen.
Pretty good imo but I still like part 1 the best.
The effect were awesome.

People were actually laughing in one scene where Peter is crying and begging M.J. not to leave him.

As for my first IMAX movie. The sound and picture were great but definitely not worth the money.
