The rocket just announced he will be re-signing with the Yanks. He just made the announcement to the crowd at the Stadium. Hate him or love him, My boys need pitching!

Nope there are just two teams i truly dislike. New York Yankees and the Chicago White Sox.PackPhanGirl wrote:sounds like somebody is bothered....Big Jimmy wrote:I just heard this on the Cubs game. How disgusting is that. Well shouldn't change the fact that the yankees will still s*** no matter what.

A Cubs fan talking about other teams s***ing no matter what? ha ha. Irony!Big Jimmy wrote:I just heard this on the Cubs game. How disgusting is that. Well shouldn't change the fact that the yankees will still s*** no matter what.
Of course this will not be popular with other team's fans. If I wasn't such a Yankee fan I'd probably hate it too!
Anyway, just reporting the news.

Yeah, whew . . . those 5 1/3 innings a game for 24 million - - - great deal. He will be about as good as the Sox 5th starter or Jon Lester in triple A.job41475 wrote:The rocket just announced he will be re-signing with the Yanks. the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

From a Yankee fan prespective, there is no negative to this. Yanks need starting pitchers and one of the greatest pitchers of all time was willing to join them. Even with the special perks Clemens will get, it's still totally worth it....drunkpirate66 wrote:Yeah, whew . . . those 5 1/3 innings a game for 24 million - - - great deal. Wow... who holds the retirement record...
KISS, who's farewell tour has been going on since 1998, or Clemons who takes a page from Michael "no, really, this time I am gone" Jordan...

Re: Roger Clemens is a Yankee again!
Well . . . no argument but there is a but . . . I heard 24 million dollars - that is a rumor but that is the number I heard . . . if true and Clemens gets 22 starts at an average of 6 innings a start (won't be much more and I am actually a Clemens fan) that is a negative but that is also the MLB -job41475 wrote:From a Yankee fan prespective, there is no negative to this. Example: Randy Moss took a pay cut. Pats traded nothing to get him. If he sucks or has an attitutde or both than THAT is no negative. In New York or Boston and maybe 1 or 2 other baseball towns teams can drop 20 million + on an aging Hall Of Famer who will earn well over 6 figures an inning even if his era is over 4.00 (still respectable but come on) and have their fans say . . . "no negative".
The negative is the non big market teams sitting at home most Octobers. I said most - I know every so often one gets to the show . . .
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .
