JIMMY'S PARENTS
can anyone tell me if Jimmy's parenta are still alive
I don' remember if it was in a song or if it was in his book A Salty Piece of Land he mentioned his parents on a plane and lost friends after 9/11
I have been wondering about this for a while
Any help would be greatly appreciated
thanks
mike

They both died in 2003. Here are links to the BuffettNews forums from then. The links to the news articles are outdated.

one of the best concerts he did (small venue, humour-wise) was his mother's 80th. She attended the first couple Stars Fell on Alabama Phlockings.

I don't remember exactly what he said, but it was when he started to play Why Don't We Get Drunk, and it was something along the lines of her not liking that song.B.I.G. He made a comment about his mom being there, but I do not remember exactly what he said...right now.

Wasn't it something along the lines of "Sorry Mom....but it's paid the bills for a lot of years"??

Yup, I remember that..... Me and my best friend at the time camped out in Centenial Park the night before hoping that Phillips would release some tickets the day of the show (and they did.... Floor Seats)... Froze our assets off, but damn it was worth it....B.I.G. DAWG wrote:His mom was at an Atlanta show that I attended, at Phillips Arena in the month of February I believe.
