I'm COMING HOME!!

Post by jimolliemom »

I am a Jacksonville Beach girl, whole heartedly. Well, I moved to TN with my Mother. (Well, actually, I moved and she moved, seperately but we moved HERE because it's HER hometown.) I am miserable. I am cold most of the year and I am longing for Florida like nobody's business. Paris is a great Mayberry kinda town. But, it's not for me. After all I tried...and I REALLY tried...It's not my home. Well, I made up my mind, I'm coming home, to Florida.
Wait! It gets better. I've been offered a job babysitting a family friends children for the Summer. So, free room and board, living with my best friend (since we were 2 years old! It's her brother's children) It's 40 hours a week and money that is better than I make here all year. So, I'll be house hunting and spending the Summer in Jacksonville, where I belong. I'll be bringing my 8 y/o keey with me (oh, and Delaney, the puppy!) I can also attend Beaches A1A club events since I'm a member there!!! YEAH FOR ME AND MOLLIE!!!
"Mommy, when is Jimmy Buffett coming to OUR house? We go see him ALL THE TIME??" (Actual quote from my 5 y/o keet)

Hubby and Jim (the other keet who's almost 17) will be staying here for the Summer. Well, actually Jim will be at AIMS (a college prep thingy) for the Summer. Hubby will be home. I survived 10 weeks of him at school. He'll live.

It's really good news for you, I know you tried but that Jacksonville was where your heart was. And your friend Angie, and of course, Des (Pat)....who wouldn't want to live near her ? [smilie=upyeah.gif] But I'm very sad. Our Parrothead club is losing a great, hard-working president. And I'm not losing you, my friend....but you'll be WAY TOO FAR AWAY !!! [smilie=cwl.gif] I'm scared I won't be able to do all the brainwork, paperwork, etc. that it takes to be a club president. This year has brought huge changes in my life (wonderful AND bad). Now Jimmy is gonna have a Margaritaville Casino, for gosh sakes  . What next ? I don't do change very well, I guess I'm gonna have to grow up and woman up, ain't I ? But I am so happy for you, I know you'll get that dream job and enjoy all your good old friends. And I'm hoping there's a couch with my name on it, in case I get to visit !!! [smilie=superkewl.gif]

Not any more. Now it's "World's Largest Family Friendly Outdoor Tailgate" or something similarly stupid that rejects "party culture" because Michael Adams is a jerkoff.

I hope CBS till him to lick theirs.

I'm sure the club will survive but it IS more work than most are aware of. Linda will do fine and besides, it may take me months or years (Oh, please not years!!) to sell the house.

I'm beginning to pack. I am so excited and ready to go. I have 10 more days and counting. The Avenues are calling me!!!
