If the man wants a casino/resort, what does it really matter? Go, don't go, it's your choice. I'd love to go, if for no other reason than to just do it. We all make our choices, if Jimmy decides to build a destination for Parrotheads, so be it. Maybe, just maybe, he's answering the question of where we can see him in the future. Even if he doesn't ever start "Appearing Nightly...", this probably adds a PH friendly environment to the summer roster. To gamble, you are (legally) required to be an adult. To be an adult means you make your own choices and are responsible for them. Jimmy's resort is just another option out there for consenting adults. No worse (hopefully) than any other out there, but, perhaps, better for any fan looking for a way to immerse themself in the PH lifestyle we all claim to be seeking. In other words, he's getting part of my income anyway, I choose to give it to him, and if he is patronizing me, good. It might be nice to feel like someone's trying to make me happy for a change. I know what's in it for him, I also know what's in it for me. Peace

I guess for the same reason people tell him where he should play, when he should play, where he should allow the band to play, what he should charge for us to see him play.......

Some folks have it in their head that he some how owes us... I havent figured that one out yet either....

Why do people think they have a right to tell Jimmy how to invest his money?

Maybe because every election year Jimmy thinks he has the right to tell people how to vote. Oh, that and the Constitution… But whatever, my view is just another view, not the only view.

I've never heard Jimmy Buffett tell anyone how to vote. He's a vocal supporter of his chosen candidates, but I've never heard him *tell* anyone how to vote......

I can't wait until this opens! I think this would be a great location for that Buffettnews gathering that we talked about at one time.

Kudos or Jimmy for bringing jobs to an area that I'm sure needs them. Kudos for his marketing genius. No one is forcing anyone to go and spend their money at his casino. I think it's great and I wish him all the success.

Because there are those that have the inherent need to feel righteous, and that there are others that owe the public because they are in the public eye. For some reason, if you make a lot of money, you can't spend it on yourself or reinvest it to make more money.

I dont think we are "telling" him anything, just giving opinions. If ya cant discuss it here where can you? If we dont drop to the floor and praise everything he does you people get rabid. Is this a worship Jimmy only site? I hate gambling and most likely will not go, but thats just me.
