We saw him 2 years ago on The "Poodle Hat" tour. I was surprised how entertaining the show was. It's actually quite kid friendly, less bad words than JB. We going on August 12 at the PNC Arts Center in Holmdel NJ. Post a review after the show.

I've seen Al numerous times. Always a great time. Check out his new video on You Tube for Trapped in the Drive-thru Hysterical parody of that R Kellys Trapped in the Closet.

It was awesome, Tropic Al! I thought I was a Weird Al fan, but I found out different. Everyone around me singing every word to every song. My friends 10 rows back had the same experience. I'm glad I caught up on some of his videos and songs before the concert, so I'd recognize them. One of my favorites is Bob, done in Bob Dylan style, and every line is a palindrome, like "Madam, I'm Adam" "A Toyota's a Toyota" "Never Odd or Even" "was it a car or a cat I saw" "Do geese see God?" "Lonely Tylenol" "Oh no! Don Ho!"

Al mentioned he'd been to Valdosta before, and he likes the smell of smoke so much that he said he'd never come back unless they could make it smell like smoke EVERYWHERE, so "thank you for doing that for me." It was really smoky all over from the fires in Florida.
He came into the audience all the way to the back of the venue during one song... He even did "I'm Fat" in all the fat make-up and costume. Showed a lot of clips of AL TV, interviewing celebrities through the years, like Madonna, Celine Dion, M&M, Kevin Federline, Jessica Simpson. Lots of laughs for the whole audience.
When the technical difficulties start during the M&M interview, know that it is part of the show.
My husband and I were remarking on the young audience. I said, "I guess with White & Nerdy, he got a lot of younger people into it." A boy about 12 turned around and said, no way, he's been listening to Weird Al "since I was five years old." Said all the skaters like him because he makes fun of rap.

My 10 year old keet is like that. Sings right along. I'm glad you had a good time now I can't wait 'til August. I don't know what we're going to do in the meantime.

Maybe a Buffett show or two ?

There is always a real YOUNG crowd at AL. Actually last time he was in town - on the Poodle Hat Tour-- my one buddy took his daughter who was like 9. And she LOVED IT.
It was great for us adults, because the theater it was at had a REAL BAR. Double Rum and Cokes are great.

I saw him for Running with Scissors and it was pretty fun. Not as much fun as if I had seem him when I was 15 years younger, but it was still a good time.<br>

Weird Al is one of our family's all-time faves. From my mother, now 90, to my youngest keet, age 24, excepting perhaps No Parrot, you know, we all know the words to the old stuff... Remember Midnight Star?
My brother, who's a musician, got called to provide an old guitar for destruction when Al was in town, and so got a few free tickets. He didn't tell my Mum until the next day, and she was so cross. But Weird Al was something she shared with me & my kids and my poor brother had no idea!
Went to see him with the youngest one time ... found the audience was mostly 14 yr old boys, and that was a decade ago.
