Post by Yorkshire Parrothead »

Anyone have any suggestions of any good bars in Paris where Parrot Heads can meet before the show like Thursday night or Friday. [smilie=battingeyes.gif] [smilie=battingeyes.gif] [smilie=battingeyes.gif] [smilie=battingeyes.gif]

Welcome, Yorkshire Parrothead!
Where in Yorkshire are you?... I have roots there.
I'm not going to Paris: only in my dreams. But I've lived there a time or two.

We have reservations at Brasserie Flo for after the show
but I haven't a clue where we could meet before we line up
to get in the New Morning....
I figure we are going to have to get there early if we want
to get close to the stage.
How close is the Bamboo Bar?
IF WE WEREN'T ALL CRAZY
WE WOULD GO INSANE

Im coming from Hampshire, via the Eurostar on Friday.
It would be great if we could arrange a pre concert meeting.

pre concert gathering in paris

Post by Yorkshire Parrothead »

Perhaps not a good idea just before the show as hubby may be boozing and I may be in a queue outside New Morning. How early will they start queuing to get the best seats? The Bamboo bar is other side of the Seine and we are going to be staying near the Opera. Never been to Paris before. Anyone know any good Irish Bars!! Perhaps meeting up with Parrot Heads on Thursday night - any suggestions? The French usually do not have a sense of humour - I have worked with them - how will they react to Parrot Heads!! We stood in line in Aspen for 300-400 people for about 1/2 hour and it was perfect and we were right at the stage. It was Aspen in December then (freezing cold) and no one wanted to wait in the cold that long. When we got inside, there were plenty of seats for a long time before the concert.

I'm not sure how crazed the people of Paris are to see Jimmy Buffett. How many will be parrotheads and how many will be French people that frequent the New Morning?
