Hooters is logical.....but we shall see
I'd have to say the Flamingo is almost more logical. It does host a particular harbour we'll all be visiting too.

I'll second that, Flamingo is more logical, and does host that special place we all know about. That's where we'll be hanging until we have to go ALL the way down the street to the MGM.

The MGM IS closer to hooters, but IMO, who cares! Personally, I have no desire to set foot in HOOTERS. But that's just me.
Hey Snake, we need more wine!

Personally, I think that is a GOOD answer! :D

I am not understanding the anti-Hooters rhetoric . . . .

I'm pretty much on the fence about Hooters......will, of course, attend LMS there, but had no desire to stay there....maybe it's a chick thing....
We'll be hanging out on the strip....slummin' NEXT DOOR to the Flamingo!

BTW.....for anyone that's been the last couple of years....did they have the buses to shuttle everyone from the street party to the MGM.....?
That ROCKED when we were there last.....

are married.

I know I'll spend Saturday at Margaritaville, and possibly some after LMS, but staying at Hooters was cheaper, so we went with it. Haven't stayed there before, maybe these people know something we don't.

Its a fun place. Not stuffy and its new. Good Food and good feel. Its a perfect place for Buffett festivities. It's not huge and vast but quaint and friendly. Their 24hr diner is awesome.

My wife actually loved it and she doubted she would. SHe has a large chest and was never even offered an application to work there so its classy too!

It deserves a fair shake and I doubt it will really disappoint.

That's exactly what I like about Bill's (Barbary Coast)....only 198 rooms....small lobby....never crowded.....you don't feel like you've walked a mile through the casino just to get the hotel. At least the last time we were there, which was before the name change, the staff is very attentive.......
I know it's destined for a wrecking ball........kinda sad to see 'old vegas' replaced with megamopolis hotels and casinos with no character.....

There's always downtown on Fremont......that's where we always stay and end up if it's NOT Buffett-time!!

Are you two going to LMS on Friday?

Note: We're staying at the Flamingo, too.

Wooooo Hooooo! We're going to Vegas for the show on the 20th!

We were at the Pittsburgh show last Saturday and started planning this trip on the drive home. This is going to be a slighty early 50th birthday party for me. In addition to the show on Saturday, we're going to see Elton John on Friday night at Caesars. Sounds like there won't be a dull moment all weekend. I bought the tickets yesterday. We're booked at the Flamingo and the airfare should follow tomorrow. I can't wait.

I think we'll be in the first floor bar at Margaritaville Friday night. Went there last year and had a blast. Lots of good folk.

Can anyone tell me if the street party they had in the alley outside on Saturday afternoon is an annual thing or was it a one time thing for last year?

I would really like to give that a try again. The only problem with it last year was my headache from Friday night.

Figured I need to save myself for the concert. I saw a lot of people at the street party who were at Margaritaville the night before and they weren't exactly pounding them down either.

Man, I am pumped, I need to order some beach balls. Will I have any trouble getting them in through security or will I have to hide them? I know they'll be okay once I'm in.

Got my call from TropoTravel Mike. I'm in Hooters for 3 nights at $300. The only time I'll need to leave that hotel will be to get to Margaritaville and thats nothing a Monorail ride can't handle! I just saved $200 . . . me likey.

The block party has been annual to my knowledge . . . I haven't heard about this year yet. Last year I had a Red Bull Margarita - Energy Drink with Tequila and lime Scrumptious!

Well I just got my rate reduced at Hooters....I MAY just stay there

4 nights at Hooters
RT air from PGH - Vegas
my concert ticket
is currently running me about $460... cannot beat that...
and that would be the ONLY reason why I would stay a Hooters...

Of course look longingly down the strip at Flamingo and as for forgiveness of not being there.

When you walk into Hooters you are met by a bar before even getting to the front desk! You can get loaded before checking in!

The d*m Restuarant has Frosted Flake battered French TOast!

Just give it a chance . . . :pirate:
