All right - got my room booked with "Mike" at Hooters. $129 for Friday and Saturday. Yep, Sunday night shot up a lot so I booked a room at the Flamingo for $130 (w/ taxes) for Sunday night. Figured what better place to nurse a hangover then the Flamingo pool.

So is Vegas now non-smoking inside? Ohio just switched but I never thought I would see it in Vegas....

ok f*** it, I am just going to come out and say it... (I realized my above post might have been too nice)

I guess I dont mind stopping into margaritaville on friday, but a meet up at one of the two other places I mentioned might be nice...

I mean, I guess for me its a bit different, since I have a margaritaville in orlando I go to often... but being there almost all day on saturday is kinda enough for me. Also I am already going to the hooters pool, which is fine, but certainly not my first choice.

I know its my choice to meet up, and of course I want to meet and party with all of you guys! But, I just dont see myself at margaritaville all night on friday.

We have been planning on maybe going to PURE friday or sunday night as well.

I know we are parrotheads and all and I might sounds whiny (trust me I am trying not to but I dont know how else to say all of this) But on my first trip to vegas I am not spending my entire time at margaritaville.

If that unnominates me as organizer so be it. If yall are down to do something a little different I will be happy to organize that.

We will still be partying our assses off all day saturday in hula skirts and bikinis and crazy hats. singing along to every song on the floor of that concert.

But, in vegas there is just so much to do people! I mean trader vic mai tai's and voodoo witch doctor punches... I dont know about yall but that sounds like the way to start a vegas weekend jimmy buffett style! [smilie=superkewl.gif]

I didn't mean to sound mean, I just had to be blunt! :D

of course yall dont have to do what I want to do and I dont have to do what yall wanna do.

just saying, so you know who you are nominating for organizing! Dont want to assume the responsibility under false pretenses! :D

On to a very important question... anyone have good luck finding a bathingsuit with parrots on it?

I know what your saying seminolegrl. I have never been to a trader vics or to Vegas for that matter so want to check out lots of sights. My better half has been to Vegas a few times, but never to a Buffett show so want this to be memorable for her. No need to sweat it we got plenty of time to figure it all out

My My! No need to be upset!!!!! Or any need to justify what it is that you want to do!!!! After all, it IS Vegas....and it is ALL about pleaseing youself!!! As for me...I was merely presenting a strawman itinerary which is only meant to be a starting point of a discussion.... BTW...It is a basic itenerary that we have done Many Many times for the Buffett weekends..... As I have done this before, Welll, I have done it before....and even though having done it time and again I never get tired of it as it is never the same twice, other than having a GREAT time each and every time.....That said...I would love to go to Trader Vics.....don't know what it is like other than having once been in the OLD school Trader Vic's.....it was a rather nice Up scale restruant with a tropical motif.....by comparision, Marg'ville is far more tropical/casual.....(but remember that is an OLD memory)...

On the other hand I don't have a big need or desire to go to Pure.....much too self absorbed...... Besides they won't let me in with my plastic boobs....

Anyway..... don't feel you need to justify what you want to do.....it is YOUR vacation...go have FUN!!!! and I hope we all get a chance to enjoy one another be it at the show or where ever!!!! :D :D

I don't even know where I'd find a coconut bra, and not only that - it sounds uncomfortable as hell! :D

I've got beads from a Mardi Gras I went to like 6 years ago I can wear...or buy them for a dime a dozen.

Who bets Seanr is wearing that bra before the night is over?

General question - do people usually get "dressed up" in their Buffett gear first thing in the morning and wear it all day around Vegas - or do they just put it on right before the show?

I would think all day since it is Vegas and it takes a lot more then just a grass skirt to stand out - but I was just wondering. My cheeseburger hat sure is going to get a workout.

I wasn't trying to be mean! I was just being blunt! I am really not a mean person I swear!!! I just want to be upfront and honest early on. Especially since I was getting nominated to organize. Which I honestly do not mind doing!

I am soo looking forward to partying with all you all. But as a broke college student. I am not sure when I will get back to vegas... hence... the wanting to go to different places. We have 101 days until the concert!

100 days until I am in vegas!

Well I haven't booked a flight or a ticket yet, but here's what I can currently get...

2 nights at Flamingo for 460 dollars
Roundtrip on Southwest for 360 dollars
Ticket to concert for 120 dollars (106 + 12 dollar "convenience fee")

Total 940 dollars (ouch)
This doesn't count spending money.... I still think I want to go though. I've never seen Buffett in Vegas and would be interested in knowing if it will be worth it...

The bras are not too bad if you get some different strings to tie them with and then line the shells with something soft (especially if you are bare underneath....)

Get lots of beads if you can get them cheap!! They are great giveaways and you will be instant friends with everyone you cross paths with!!!!
