It is purely coincidence that I am asking this after all the speedo talk but is the Hooters pool open to the public like it seems the MGM one is for the pre-party? I know most Vegas pools are only available to guests of that resort. If there is an official pre or post party at the Hooters pool we would love to go but we aren't staying there.

Can't and won't do the speedos, I was a swimmer at the collegiate level. being 20 and trying to fit into a swimsuit made for an 8 yuear old isn't fun...boardshorts for me!

I thought the whole point of people staying at hooters was that it was parrothead friendly and the pool was open to everyone, am I missing something? hhhmmmm

I heard on recent tripreport on tripadvisor that mgm had turnstyles to go out to the pool and you have to swipe your key card.
I know they are setting something specfically up with MGM that will allow people, but I am sure we can sneek some through from the signature side of things!

That's what I assumed too since there was so much talk about both Hooters and the MGM pools. If nothing else I know the Flamingo's pool is open to the public and is a great atmosphere.

Last few times I have been there the Flamingo pool has NOT been open to the public... they check your room key before they let you into the pool area. You can walk outside to see the birds, but not to get abck by the pool.
Now, it is just a person checking keys not turnstiles, so when they walk away you could sneak in - but at least when I was there it was not 100% open

Never met the man, but here is my tip. Don't look for Jimmy, Look for Charleston. He is much easier to spot in a crowd.

I got a good deal going at NYNY so I might decide to take the "plunge" (too bad the NYNY pool stinks or I'd plunge for real)
