Yes.
25 years ago this week Donnie Van Zant drinking from a bottle of Jack Daniels onstage during the opening song in Tulsa.
A police officer attempted to arrest him and was quickly helped off the stage while the concert continued. I'm not sure exactly what he was thinking. 8,000 drunk rednecks wouldn't have been happy if the show had ended after 1 song, not happy at all!

That officer obviously did not have children, and had not yet learned the "Pick Your Battles" principle.....

In the not-too-distant past, I saw David Allan Coe walk onstage with a full bottle of Jim beam. Roughly 2.5 hours later, I watched him all but crawl back off of that stage after emptying that bottle of Jim Beam.
This show was in a little hole-in-the-wall bar that just happenned to be in between two bigger gigs he was doing. I dont know if he does the same thing at these larger venues.
Just this past November seeing Jackyl for a Toys For Tots benefit show.. The band downed an entire bottle of Crow Royal, and then the owner of the club brought up a bottle of Jack for them, which they drank about half.

now it's water.. or the "red cup"
dangerous to post without reading entire thread BUT Todd Snider in NC had a red cup that at one point got thrown up in the air - I think it was red kool aide I saw. For sure. I believe once or twice I saw JB with the same red cup and recall a RM recast where JB commented on the slow service ....and the beverage was delivered in that red cup. I think it was water.
And raccoons brought wine and the mice they brought cheese...

Hank, Jr. always came on stage in Tulsa w/Jack Daniels, Tulsa was his Daddy's old stompin ground..Cain's Ballroom, and Jr. really let loose ....
I wonder why guys like Hank Jr. and Johnny Cash end up with insulin dependent diabetes?
I don't want to live on that kind of island
No, I don't want to swim in a roped off sea.

I've got to be where the wind and the water are free.
The Gourds always have beer on stage when they are performing. They even have had someone make little bottle holders for their Coronas that fit on their mic stands. Very cool!
