went to toronto 2 years agor for the show and it was great the toronto maple reefers put on a great couple of days of entertainment. Hopefully they can set up that booze cruise with northern harbor the night before the show. will be there from long island

Re: Who's going to Toronto (09/05/07)
We did the party at the Keating Channel Pub with Northern Harbour. They were great, wish we also did the cruise. We heard it go by when we were on the Toronto Islands.prthead99 wrote:went to toronto 2 years agor for the show and it was great the toronto maple reefers put on a great couple of days of entertainment. Assuming I can get tickets, I'll be there for sure!
I wonder what Jimmy has in store for us this time? Last time around, he brought out Lennie Gallant for Mademoiselle (Voulez-vous Danser), and the encore was Neil Young's Helpless. Bruce Cockburn might be a natural choice, since Jimmy has covered several of his songs. They could do Pacing the Cage, or Wondering Where The Lions Are. Gordon Lightfoot would also be an amazing guest; they could do Carefree Highway, Summer Side of Life, Christian Island... but my money would be on Early Morning Rain. Even if Gord isn't there, I'd love to hear Jimmy's rendition of one of those. Looks like neither has show scheduled at the time Jimmy's in Toronto so... you never know!
She's a good old boat and she'll stay afloat
Through the toughest gales and keep smilin'
When the summer ends we will rest again
In the lee of Christian Island
What a way to cap off the summer!

Some people never find it, some only pretend
But me, I just want to live happily ever after

That was my only qualm yesterday about this show. All the loyal fans in the "Toronto Viewing Area" will most likely be traveling 4 or 5 hours to see their hero on the day the tickets go onsale for the concert in their backyard...chippewa wrote:Concert is up on Ticketmaster now. 10 a.m. sale this Friday, I'm hoping to be on the road by then for Pittsburgh.
I don't think that was intentional, but it kinda s***s for non-PHC fans who rely on the TM folks.

I can get tix from my local PHC but only the top priced ones. I have phriends coming and all they can do is lawn so I forfitted mine. No option. All they will do is send one kind (pav / cheaper pav / lawn) to each club. Most wanted higher priced ones so that is all we have the option for. Not the fault of the PHC, it is the PHiP rules.
I am leaving work at 9:45, buying on TM and heading out the door for Pittsburgh!
Yes I said buying because I am thinking positive.
