P.S. Parrot Head trivia? Big fan is Ron MacLean of Hockey Night In Canada

Yup - he has a boat down at the harbour, too. I remember him and I think John Davidson & some other HNIC announcer talking about Jimmy one late Saturday night.

Not bad for an American boy, eh?

Looking forward to seeing ya there!
Are you puling my leg? I love him......I have a picture of him with his arm around me right beside the computer. :D

Why did the Maple reefers put us up in the Gay Village?? I was just looking up the bars around our hotel and they are all gay bars!! (not that there is anything wrong with that) Anyone know of any that are close that are regular bars??

More Toronto Jimmy Phans:
- TOM CHEEK, the late, great voice of the Blue Jays for 27 years. He was singing all of Cheeseburger In Paradise as he walked into Dunedin Stadium in Florida next to us, before a spring trainnig game years ago. Gotta be a fan.
- SCOTT MORRISON of Hockey Night In Canada and formerly sports editor of the Toronto Sun. We sat near the Hockey Hall of Famer at one of Jimmy's two shows (why were they so few few and so close together, Bubba?) in Toronto in the 1990s.

DON CHERRY? Who knows, although he did spend a lot of time in Boston and with MacLean.
Love to see Grapes in a grass skirt and a captain's hat Wednesday night down by the lake "in the fatherland", as Jimmy called Canada Sunday from Foxboro.

"Visitors scored on the home rink."

Hey phriends! 8)

We're planning to hop over the border on Wednesday for the JB show, the Molson Amp is one of our favorite venues to see a show at... it'll be great to see Jimmy and the band there!

Does anyone have an idea of what the tailgating scene will be? It surely won't be Pittsburgh, that much we know ( )... we figure most folks will park in the Ontario Place parking lot, and we've heard that it's not very tailgate-friendly.

Any info or suggestions on tailgating for this would be greatly appreciated.

See you there! Only 2 more days!!

Hi Buffalonians!
There is a big party at Ontario Place, in lieu of a tailgate. Info in my sig line.
Welcome, neighbours!

Buffalo:

Sadly, there are stricter liquor laws on this side of the lake, Western New Yorkers.
Ralph Wilson Stadium on Sunday afternoon during NFL season, Ontario Place's parking lots will not be come Wedneday.

That said, some tailgating did break out here in 2005.

P.S. Speaking of Buffalo, does anyone recall Jimmy playing a show after a Buffalo Bisons AAA baseball game? Year? Wasn't there but heard about it.
How times have changed.
P.P.S. Go Bills!

I can only go by what I saw last time he played the Molson Amphitheatre. There was plenty of tailgating in the parking lot at least a few hours before show time. If people kept their alcohol consumption discreet, and in the lot, there didn't seem to be a problem. My advice: don't bring bottles (which are obvious) - brings cans, decant from a different container, etc.

I did hear of Jimmy's show and I think the Bisons were only a AA team at the time (sadly, I wasn't a phan of either back then). I've also heard conflicting stories of why he won't come back to Buffalo. One has members of the then-CRB getting into trouble with the local constabulary. Another I've heard is the weather, but we're just on the other side of the pond from this 'Great White North' venue, so I don't think that's it. Too bad, because few places celebrate summer like we do. (Well, when you have 9 months of winter...) Whatever his reasons, he's turned me into a gypsy!

Thanx for the "Go Bills", but sadly, they ain't goin' nowhere.

Packing up tonite and "on the road again" tomorrow morning. See you in two sleeps! :D
