Thanks for that perfect segue into Toronto accommodations!!!!

OK pholks – here is the hotel that the Toronto Maple Reefers suggest for your stay in Toronto for Bubba’s concert on Sept. 5th:

Days Hotel & Conference Centre - Toronto Downtown
30 Carlton Street
Yonge & Carlton Street
Toronto, ON M5B 2E9

We have secured a Parrothead rate of $119 (CAD) per night, plus tax. This rate is only available by calling the hotel directly at 1-800-367-9601. The hotel’s web site is www.dayshoteltoronto.ca if you want to have a look around. Please note there is an extra charge for parking. We hope that by suggesting a central place for y’all to roost, more of you will be able to meet up and party together.

This is a darn good price for downtown Toronto. Hotel is right on the subway line and you can easily take public transit to the concert at the Molson Amphitheatre and to the location of our pre-concert party, details TBA soon.

We've stayed there a couple of times in the past, as you said the subway is just steps away. Took a streetcar from that area to the show in '05 with a lot of other parrotheads, great way to get to the concert.

I'm hoping to stay with friends or relatives, or just catch the last bus back to Ottawa, but if I found the right roommate(s), maybe I'd stay...

I have created a who's going list: it appears a few posts down Page 1 of this thread.

Pre-concert party

Any plans yet for a pre concert party on September 5th? I can't wait! It will be my second time to see Jimmy in TO and my hubbies first time ever to see Jimmy. I am working on my parrot duds now, gotta look good that day, of course. Would love to make a plan to meet my fellow parrotheads beforehand. Anyone sitting in the 300's?

Hi Phellow Pheathered Phriends :-)

Just wanted to let you know about the Island Time Boat Bash II
www.boatbash.com that myself (tattooed Parrot Paul) and the Toronto Maple Reefers Parrot Head Club are hosting on the Tuesday (Sept 4th) the day before the big show

It was a great success a couple of years back and with the Northern Harbour band (heard on the website doing GUMBO) it'll prove to be the best party of the week.

$49 (Canadian Funds) a ticket and you won't be sorry. Cruise is from 7pm to midnight and sails through the Toronto Island lagoons and such as well as up and down the Toronto skyline.

Check out the website and contact me at info@boatbash.com

Cheers and Fins Up

Who's going on the cruise?
Who's arriving on the day of the concert?
Is anyone else from Ottawa area going to the TO concert?
