Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar

Actually, he did make the ultimate parrothead faux pas once, in this strip from way back in 1985:

He does proffer a quite plausible excuse for his mistake however, and everyone is entitled to one youthful solecism

We were going through security in the Indy airport about a week and a half ago... my wife had on a Margaritaville t-shirt. The security guy says "Jimmy Buffett?" and breaks into singing "...if you like pina coladas..."Harbour Shark wrote:Ugh! ... I also know a guy who swears up and down that Jimmy Buffett sings Marina del Rey

that is when you have to slip something metal into the waistband of the person ahead of you, so the distraction gives the TSA guy something to obsess about.SharkOnLand wrote:We were going through security in the Indy airport about a week and a half ago... my wife had on a Margaritaville t-shirt.
