I'm another one of those who voted 50/50. Plus, for the first time ever, I met people from this and other online Buffett forums.

A group of friends and I do this each summer when the MLB baseball schedule comes out! We pick a city the Orioles are playing in and do a 3 day road trip to catch the series. We've been to Tampa FL, Arlington TX, Cleveland OH, Seattle WA, Oakland/San Fran CA, Atlanta GA, NYC and Toronto so far doing this. We are the obnoxious Orioles fans wearing orange at the ballpark. :D

In most cities we've visted we are loudly booed for about an inning until the locals and us discover our mutual hatred of the NY Yankees then we're buying each other beer. Hatred of the Yankees is pretty universal. :D
So truthfully, how is Fenway Park South as a stadium, looking to go there next season... [smilie=gt_grinz-browwiggle.gif] A bunch of us do this as well, hit Seattle for the Sox/Ms this year, Cleveland next year? or Toronto, or Detroit...

As for Buffett, for me it's not a party without the music so I have to go with both. It's become kind of a tradition and I still meet up with phriends I met 3,4,5 years ago...What could be better?(I'm already regretting asking that with some of the answers some of you: RinglingRingling : give) :D

Good question! I would have to say 50/50. I like to tailgate but I always attend Buffett concerts hoping for that "1" song I've never heard live. This year I'm hoping for 'Wino and I Know' or 'Cowboy in the Jungle'. I have been to 20 shows and one of my best Parrothead friends does not understand why I am upset I cannot attend the Atlanta show this year. She told me she could go out to eat at fancy restaurants at least 5 times for what it would cost me for 8 hours of tailgating and concert. But "I get it!" I haven't seen Jimmy in almost 2 years and I'm jonesing for a Buffett show. As long as he keeps touring, I want to be there at least one time a year.

Another 50/50 here.
There is no one show/tailgating experience the same. All are truly one heck of a great timeand I just couldn't live with myself if I didn't go at lease once a year.

Did the Vegas street party...as an Alpine Valley vet I must say I was completely disappinted and let down by the whole Las Vegas Buffett experience! If Alpine is a 10 then Vegas is about a 1.

Cheers

It's 50/50! Can't imagine one without the other. Saw him sober at MSG cuz I was really sick. Had ONE drink and the prescriptions did the rest.

75% Music...25% Tailgating/Party with Phriends.

The music is very important, but so is the whole experience.
