Tonight the Houston Astro's Craig Biggio went 5-6 and surpassed the 3000 career hit milestone. What an awesome game, and I'm glad I was able to see it live.
It was an awesome game as he came into the game needing 3 hits to reach 3000, and he got 5 including 2 infield hits. His curtain call last 10-15 minutes. All of his teammates, wife and kids greeted him on the field.
Best of all was when he went to the dugout and, grab his former teammate Jeff Bagwell. Later on Craig said it was important to him to get Jeff on the field because Jeff was unable to end his career on the field due to injuries.
Man it was a great experience!!

You'll always remember that experience. Good for Biggio, I've always enjoyed watching his career.

Craig Biggio is what the game is all about.
A great player, a humble player, and, more importantly, the very definition of role model.
I'm very happy for him, and the way he insisted Jeff Bagwell be there is a testament to his character.
The Houston folks are blessed to have this man in their corner.
