Great openers!

And I liked Barometer Soup, too.

Stars on the water is fave, cuban crime is close second. Truthfully though I havent seen show where I thought it was a bad opening.

It's a toss up for me as well between "Only Time Will Tell" and "Lage Nom Ai"

Piece of Work followed by On the Road Again a close second....

just kidding

Seriously, I liked it when he opened with Changes and even last year when he opened with Brown Eyed Girl. But I think Lage Nom Ai is tough to top. Wish I could have heard that.

ID LIKE TO SEE HIM PLAY THE NEW SONG "HERE WE ARE" FROM NOW ON. IF YOU LISTEN TO THE WORDS IT TALKS ALL ABOUT US ( HIS FANS).

I saw him in Dallas several years ago and he started with Migration, Pencil Thin Mustache and OPH.

I love it when he starts off a show with Migration. It sets the mood for a great night.

This is a pretty good one. I think "Bank of Bad Habits" or "Mexico" would be a badass open, too.

Side note: I'm thoroughly sick of him opening with "On the Road Again". I know he likes Willie, but the more shows he opens with it the more contrived it seems. Time for Jimmy to "be more adventurous" like he said he's going to be! ;)

My favorite opener was Jimmy and Fingers out on the lawn for the Banana Wind Tour doing a couple of songs, and then getting to the stage and doing One Particular Harbour.

It was always nice to get that close to Jimmy!

I don't really care what he opens with, its what he closes with that I never like.
never like to hear his last song because it means it's all over.

I would like to see Here We Are.

The first time I went to Las Vegas (1997), he opened with Cuban Crime of Passion, which made sense-it was the Havana Daydreamin' Tour.
I was in Vegas, I was excited, and that song ignited everyone for the rest of the night.

I'll second Here We Are then go right into an uptempo song like OPH, Southern Cross, CCOP, Great Heart, etc.

I'm not hard to please ... I love CILCIA and The Wino & I Know. I also liked the Don't Stop the Carnival opening when he came in with the ?Bahamian? dance troup in costume. It was definitely different. [smilie=battingeyes.gif]
