Post by lostparrot »

In August I will be in Atlanta visiting a friend and was wondering what bars are recommended for a parrothead.

Vortex @ Little Five Points is friendly to everyone and Cheeseburger in Paradise @ Dunwoody is a must even without HockeyParrothead running the show there.

they have burgers too, don't you worry. There's also a Vortex up on peachtree and .....10th? Kinda midtowny?

Depends a bit on where you are staying. If you're in Decatur [doubtful] the Brick House Tavern is great, so is Twain's sports bar. If you do hit Little Five, check out El Myr too, next to the Variety Playhouse. Gritty, but fun. Margarita's are great, sangria is....off the hook. One's not enough, two's wayyyyy too many....
it's a magic kind of medicine, no doctor could prescribe...

Sorry I'm late in seeing your post, but be sure to check out Cheeseburger in Paradise in Dunwoody on Friday night. Jim Asbell and the Tropiholics are playing there from 9PM-1AM. You'll have a blast!! Let me know if you can make it.

Great Rick! It's been too long!! Hey, I've got a few Bikers For Boobs shirts left. Want me to bring you one? We missed you again. We had 769 riders, 524 bikes and raised over $43,000. Great party! I have some really cool bottle koozies with boobs that you might like too! See you Friday!

Yes, I'm a full-time Tropiholic now. It's a lot of fun. The pay is not much  but being with my PHriends makes up for it all. Heck, I was there most of the time anyway. Might as well see it from the other side of the stage!! Can't wait to see you guys!
