Oh yeah, and a great way to end a tour too.

Kind of makes me happy and sad at the same time when I hear it now.

This was the last song played on the Salty Piece Of Land and Tiki Time tours and maybe the Banana Wind tour too. There's no info for setlist for the last show BW (Woodlands, TX 5/7/97) but it WAS the last song on the 3rd to last BW show.
I see it was the closing song for many of the Banana Wind shows and it may well could have been the one at the final show on May 07, 1997!!

Buffettnews.com doesn't even have that there was a May 06, 1997 show.

The Cocotel called the May shows in 1996 the Son of the Banana Wind Tour.

Oh, you're so correct and you were at both shows! So do ya remember the last song on May 7, 1997?? Just 10 years ago!

Lovely Cruise. Great song to end a concert with and when that day comes, maybe a great song to end his career.

I really really wanted to vote for miss you so badly, I really love love that song. But I have been mostly voting based on memories associated, and how much I liked the song.

I had to take emotions out of it. The BF is how I was introduced to Buffetts music. Many of the songs are tied to milestones in our relationships. But besides margaritaville... I knew changes before the BF and loved it before, and still love it. I would pick changes out of an all time list of favorite songs, not just jimmy songs and thats what gave it the edge over miss you so badly.

GACCCKKKKK....

CILCIA (my very first JB song), Lovely Cruise, and Banana Republics all on the same album..... :o

I think I have to go with CILCIA for sentimantal reasons.... if that song hadn't hooked me, all the rest might never have come to pass....

I hope you're going this year. In Atanta, this was absolutely beautiful. If I'm remembering correctly (and I have no doubt someone will let me know if I'm not) JB, Mac, Tina & Nadhira all sat down to play and sing. The harmony was beautiful ... reminded me of Hotel California on the Hell Freezes Over tour in 1994 ... a religious experience for me.

As far as my favorite from CIACIL, What's not to love? There's not a single song I'd FF through, but without a doubt it is In The Shelter. Whenever I've heard that live, it's a special gift!!

This is probably the hardest one I've voted in so far. Can I vote for them all?

I prefer the reggae version of In the Shelter, so I'll toss that one out. I think I'm going with Banana Republics.

This line always gets stuck in my head:
some of them are running from lovers,
leaving no forward address,
some of them are running tons of ganja,
some are running from the IRS...

But I love Biloxi, Wonder Why We Never Go Home, Lovely Cruise, CILCIA, Tampico Trauma, and even Margaritaville. It was hard to pick one. Like Lays potato chips.

This is the hardest one of all to pick from, because I love every song. I had to pick Changes... it's the song I played, instead of speaking very much, at my recent retirement party. It was so appropriate!

Went with Biloxi. Wife grew up in New Orleans and her parents lived in Mississippi until recently
