[quote="pojo"]Banana Republics.... JB mastered what Steve Goodman wrote.

quote]

Just about exactly what i was going to write. JB made it his own song.

What a great overall album.

it HAS to be Change in Latitudes...

Every year, I bring more and more people in my group (30 for Labor Day this year), many of whom aren't Jimmy fans and/or mock my obsession. But every year, without fail, after spending all day in the parking lot, when CILCIA and they see the videos inside the concert, the reaction is always, "Oh, I get it now..."
The song doens't do as much for me when it's just on my stereo, but in a concert... man, it's like a sacrement for the Church of Buffett...

Banana Republic. I love the accent he uses on the word "senoritas"

"And late at night you will find them
In the cheap hotels & bars
Hustling the senoritas while they dance beneath the stars"

The tongue roll.
I wish I could do that.

Changes in Latitudes... has to be the best!

I mean, this song just speaks to me. Especially in concert. Loooooove it.

I like Buffett's slower songs with more feeling so you know I like "Banana Republic...but...I gotta go with "Changes in Latitudes".

This is like asking me if I like chocolate chip cookies or chocolate chip cookies with nuts.

How can I choose? Lots of great songs on this album but I guess I have to go with CILCIA since this is the central theme to why the entire Parrotthead mystique exists. Since I'm sitting here in cold PA in February, winds gusting and snow falling AND I have no beach vacation plans till summer - I could use a change in latitude and certainly a change in attitude.
