Banana Republics. Good song. Steve Goodman was an amazing talent.

In the Shelter. It was the first NON S.Y.K.B.H. song that he played at my first ever concert of his in 1987, and I've loved it ever since.

And since Changes In Latitudes/Attitudes is THE song that got me listening to Jimmy (and it's what I was doing at the time), it gets honorable mention.

On what I think is one of the greatest albums by anyone, I have to pick Biloxi simply because of the beauty of the poetry-like language, the musical structure of it, the seeming simplicity of it all. Made me make Biloxi a stop on my first cross country trip.

I have to go with Changes...first of all it's such a great song live-it never gets old!

Second, there are so many great lyrics and messages in there that I try to live my life around

"yesterdays over my shoulder,
i cant look back for too long,
there's too much to see,
waiting in front of me,
and i don't think i can go wrong."

Wonder Why We Ever Go Home, because of this:
People are movin' so quickly.
Humor's in need of repair.

Great line

The single greatest JB album ever. If I could only have one, this would probably be it. Whats not to love??? I picked Shelter, although to be honest I'd probably have split the vote evenly. Love all versions of Shelter, but especially the new reggae edition. Made a great song nearly perfect.

Banana Republics.... JB mastered what Steve Goodman wrote.

Biloxi. Reminds me of sitting on the water at sunset with a cold beer in my hand. All is right with the world.

It has been a Lovely Cruise. It's a great song to end a show.

Oh yeah, and a great way to end a tour too.

Kind of makes me happy and sad at the same time when I hear it now.

This was the last song played on the Salty Piece Of Land and Tiki Time tours and maybe the Banana Wind tour too. There's no info for setlist for the last show BW (Woodlands, TX 5/7/97) but it WAS the last song on the 3rd to last BW show.

I had to vote Margaritaville, but that is a very hard vote. Changes, Wonder Why, Lovely Cruise, well all of them are good.

I see it was the closing song for many of the Banana Wind shows and it may well could have been the one at the final show on May 07, 1997!!

Buffettnews.com doesn't even have that there was a May 06, 1997 show.

The Cocotel called the May shows in 1996 the Son of the Banana Wind Tour.

Banana Republics. My favorite Goodman and Buffett song. This is in my opinion his best album. Love every song on there.
