The Jaguars were damn lucky, but I'm glad they won.

IF San Diego wins tomorrow, it'll be Jaguars vs. Patriots and Chargers vs. Colts in the A.F.C.

Lucky?

I disgree.

How can you sack the opposing qb SIX times and make him throw 3 picks and a fumble and be called "lucky"?

Man I about had a heart attack during the Jaguars/Steelers game.
I worked up a pretty good sweat and was even doing a little cussing at some of the Jags play calling particularly at the start of the 4rth quarter not to mention Del Rio p*ssing away a timeout near the end which in the end did not metter.
Heck, I thought it was all but over until Garrard ran for 32 yards on 4th down. What a gamer! Oh me of little faith
The Steelers are tough!

100% Lucky.

Beating a team by 2 points that is missing no less than 6 starters.

Lucky.

P.S. You still owe me a $1 and a shot.

If it is Jax I can't see them beating NE. No way the Patriots have 4 turnovers and allow 6 sacks. Jax won't be able to keep up with NE's offense.

If it is Tenn, then that would be a slaughter.

They tried giving the game away in the fourth quarter.
Fortunately, the Steelers refused to cooperate.

Never underestimate the power of the dark side.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.

Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

The only issue is that New England probably won't if they're not on the field. From what I heard, the one way to beat New England is to keep the offense off the field just enough to get them frustrated that they can't score quickly.

Me, I'd rather play the Patriots than the Colts. Colts have beat us twice this year. I think we'd do better in the elements than in a dome. The Patriots have no running game but that has not stopped them yet. Lately though they have looked vulnerable and the Jaguars stand as good a chance as anybody. I think they can be run all over too.
Brady would probably shred Jax's secondary.
If Mathis aint making a good play, he's getting burnt for a td

Actually, the Pats have the 13th best rushing offense in the NFL and 10th best rushing defense. They do have issues lately with the rushing defense so I think the Jags could run all over them.

I will laugh if the Titans win today . . .

No one wants the Jags next week and I can see that pass rush giving Manning fits . . . (Brady too )

Some MVP Research . . . (actually I just glanced at today's Boston Globe)

Every MVP in the NFL since 1970 has been a Quarter Back or a Running Back . . . except for three . . .

1. 1986: Laurence Taylor (LB)
2. 1982: Mark Mosely (PK)
3. 1971: Alan Page:(DT)

Since 1970!

No way that for 34 of the last 37 years the MOST VALUABLE PLAYER IN THE NFL IS A QB OR AN RB!

Just goes to show how tainted voting is with fantasy type stats like big power numbers in the MLB.

Sad.

I thought Jax would win yesterday, I said all season that Pitt was a fraud, they were very overrated and their QB is not very good. When the going got though they folded like a chair.

One reason for this could be in baseball 2 writers that cover each team from every city vote on the MVP award so they get to see a lot more players. In Football it is 50 AP writers who may not see every game and vote only based on highlights.
