Well, for your sake, I hope he makes it there one day. How many British parrotheads are there, really?
Not sure how many, probably more than we think, certainly enough to fill a venue like Paris no problem

Why would he want to play Australia? The people are nice, the weather is great, the accents are cool, they like to drink and the women are hot...
Oh wait, nevermind! :o

During the radio talk with Steve, Jimmy said, "there's the old Bondi Beach Hotel."

http://www.hotelbondi.com.au/home.html

Creeky, can ya tell us about that place?

From web site:

Bondi is more than just the beach, there are many excellent cafes, seafood restaurants and bars & clubs on the seafront and all the way back to Bondi Junction.

Would this be a place for a concert, or would it most likely be in Sydney?

Bondi Pavilion holds major festivals.
The theater only hold about 220 tho.

bah :P I got him on DVD saying he is coming ... and no one believes me
I believed you creeky.............I remember HEARING him saying it at one of our concerts in '06, I think it was, just don't remember which one, but he said Australian and Paris.......... HAVE FUN CREEKY!!!!!!!!!
thanks - if he backs out .. I might have to hand in my parrotheadism ....
If he's as smart a businessman as he appears to be, I don't think he'll do that.
I don't think it's all about money now, he's made millions, how much could he have made playing Paris, not much at all, probably a loss, but he did it because he wanted to. He hardly ever plays small intimate venues like he used to way back when, remember Nautical Wheelers from Tales from Margaritavision. Thats why he has to come to London, i know a great small venue........My lounge :D
I agree...

Plus he does a lot of charity events now like Aspen and Anguilla.

Announcing he is playing in a continent is not the same as saying he is going to play, lets just say, Massachusetts . . . lots of land - hope he picks a spot near your neighborhood in that continent . . .
I can get to anywhere here in Australia - got connections in just about every city - and I know he will only play either Sydney, Brisbane (or Gold Coast) and Perth - the main bases - got em all covered .... I live in Sydney - and got close friends in the other spots 8)

Never been to the hotel - but from what I know - he has friends that own it. It is in Sydney - but he would not play there - well not an official gig - a hotel is a bar here ...... so would not be able to sell tickets - just like playing at Margaritaville in Key West.

Last time he played here - he played at entertainment centre venues - and conisidering in the small city of Newcastle we can get 300 people to a venue wihtout him or advertising - he could fill a major venue.
