A & E College Football 2007
It's only about 40 or so days away! I've been ready since January. Most of the magazines like USC vs LSU in the Championship. West Virginia is a very close 3rd to LSU. Does Florida repeat this year like they did in basketball? I highly doubt it, but they'll be good. I wish the season would hurry up!

I don't see Florida repeating, but I could be wrong. I just don't see Tebow being able to handl e that offense every snap as well as Leak did. I think LSU will be the team to reckon with in the SEC, I think most of their big games are in Baton Rouge this year. UGA has the potential to bame a run not only for the east, but for the overall crown if Stafford plays as well as he closed the 2006 season.
As much as it pains me to say it, Bama will be better, but they won't be 14-0 national champs like some of the more delusional fans believe. Auburn will be good, better talent, but a killer schedule (trips to Athens, Baton Rouge and The Swamp) will give a better team a worse record than in 2006.
On the national picture, I think FSU will surprise a few pepole and end up in the NC mix before all is said and done. If they aren't playing for it, they are spoiling a trip for either Florida or the ACC champ.

I'm already ready already! Nebraska finished 9-5 last year and, although the talent level should be better, they have a tough schedule this year (including USC and @Texas), and I think they'll probably finish about the same this year. Hopefully they'll prove me wrong and surprise some people.
I think USC slips up somewhere along the way (Hopefully in Lincoln.
). Just for a completely uneducated national championship game picture, I'll saaaaaaaaay . . . LSU over West Virginia, with Arkansas as my dark horse this year.

This season's looking fairly wide open. Everybody says USC's got tons of talent but if they win their trips to Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oregon & Cal then they deserve it big time.
Louisville & West Virginia p*** me off cause their out of conference schedules are weak!
Florida will be lucky to win the SEC East.
LSU & my Wolverines both have only 1 real tough game on the road but nonetheless play plenty of potential spoilers at home. After opening weekend Michigan has Oregon, Notre Dame & Penn State back to back to back, then at Wisconsin and home for OSU to end the season.
Both Texas & Oklahoma have excellent schedules with the winner of the Red River Shootout looking to go unbeaten. We'll have to see if Janice's Aggies have something to say about it. Speaking of that, making the trip to South Beach J.? Miami Canes making a trip to Norman should be interesting as well.
My call is for West Virginia to go unbeaten and meet unbeaten Texas, but once closely beaten USC and LSU will sqawk (and rightly so) about WVU's poor out of conference schedule!!

looking forward the first game of the season... sept. 1 against montana state.
we play most of the tougher teams on the schedule (tech, oklahoma, nebraska) on the road this year... maybe we can pull off some upsets.
the t.u. game is at home.... whoop!
and if we make it to a bowl game this year, maybe the team will show up
I must be wishing on someone else's star....

I'm eager to see what my Vols can do this year. Ainge is good, but I don't know what to expect from our wide recieving core. They're talented but inexperienced. We lost Robert Meachem, Jayson Swain, and Bret Smith last year. Ouch. We do have a couple tight ends that can catch, though. That will help. Go Vols!

In the preseason mags the Vols seem to flying under the radar this year. In my mind this has been a postive for most teams lately. And I believe the Vols are gonna bounce back using the running game and defense as its backbone. Ainge has to keep from trying to win the game himself. If they open 3-0 they'll get plenty of BCS hype....course I know that's a BIG IF with trips to California & Gainesville included in those 3 games.

With road games at Nebraska, Notre Dame and Cal, plus games against improving teams like UCLA and Oregon St., their schedule, while not exactly murderer's row, is formidable. If they run the table, they will have definitely earned their spot in the title game this year.

I am hesitant on saying his name, as he was a polorizing figure. But he was very very important on offense. We went to high school together. (I am from orlando if that narrows it down)

How are they doing tickets for the Bama/FSU game in Jax? Will it be split 50/50 between the two schools, and if so, is it a one time deal between the two?seminolegrl06 wrote:they wont run the table and if they do that schedule is still nothing compared to FSUs schedule, if FSU runs the table and doesn't get in because some punkass school like USC im gonna be ssoooo p***.

Within the last couple of weeks Auburn has announced a home and home series with Clemson, I'm really looking forward to that.

Just for comparison on the FSU/USC debate between Seminole Girl and Brown Eyed Girl (girl fight!!!
USC would certainly buck the trend (according to this website's composite rankings), as the consensus preseason #1 has only gone on to win the national title three times since 1993. Although the last team to do it? USC in 2004.
