GO VOLS!

UT 39 Southern Miss 19

We're gonna enjoy this one tonight while we can. From what I can tell, we're gonna get our butts handed to us in Gainsville next week. I pray that I'm wrong. Everybody today at the stadium was cheering that South Carolina beat Georgia, but that worries me even more. That just means that not only will Florida and Georgia beat us, but South Carolina will too. What has happened to us?

I guess it could be worse.........We could s*** as bad as MICHIGAN! :o

I'm sitting here having a late night snack and catching up on the games I missed today. LSU is whupping VaTech as bad as I thought they would. No surprise to me there at all. Auburn seems to be giving South Florida every chance to win the game that they can. They keep giving them the ball. Wake up Auburn and play some SEC football! Florida scares me......crap! Spurrier may be right about competing for the SEC championship game this year...an SEC opening win between the hedges is a nice way to start. Notre Dame sucks and that's that! The Ramblin' Wreck look pretty darn good this year!

I knew South Florida would give Auburn a game but I did not really think they'd win.
What'd they miss four field goals? It should have been worse.

The beauty of dvr is rewinding the final play that won it. Well, not really for the play but for the stunned reactions in the crowd

oh and hey!! did you hear that?

I think Oklahoma just scored again

what a game in college station... good game fresno state!

it was 110 up in the stands. hardly any breeze where we were sitting. i was a "bad ag" or "2%" and left at the half. the heat was too much for me(and all i was drinking was water, water, sprite, water, more water, sno cone, water, water - hey... did i mention i was drinking water?)

made it back to my folks house to catch the 4th quarter and all 3 overtimes.

the funniest thing from the game - they do these random facts during time outs... this week it was

javorski lane (#11 - aka j-train) scored more touchdowns last year than the oakland radiers did

I don't understand why so many people were shocked/stunned by the game. After seeing how AU played last week against K-State, I knew that USF was going to be a tough game.

I just don't understand why the AU coaches didn't challenge the final kick return, from where our seats are, and again on the big screen replay board, it looked like he stepped out back towards midfield. Even if he didn't, you still ask for a review, don't leave 2 timeouts on the board.

This could be a long ugly season in east central Alabama. Last time there was a season like this, the administration tried to force Tubs out.

I have to add how ridiculously happy I am that college football is underway!!!!! I'll not grumble about being #12 (PSU!) but I think those above us will shift dramatically in the next week or two.....(we're coming for you, you cheeseheads!!! lol!!!) Of course, that's what makes college Fball so awesome.....watching the espn guys throw their hands in the air and say, "WTF just happened today?!" on a saturday. (all except Lou Holtz, who is usually right--except about notre dame. nobody's perfect.lol)

txaggrl, can't believe you were up in the stands in 110 degree heat! Holy crap....I would have bailed pretty quick myself!

And of course, any team that beats michigan is a friend of mine. :D

They dropped down to 7 on both AP and USAToday. I'm surprised they didn't drop lower, I expected that game to be a blowout. :-?

Does anybody know when the College Football Season starts.......If so, please tell the Maize & Blue defense. But seriously, the Michigan "D" getting embarrassed by Oregon didn't surprise me. The Michigan "O" (not sure if I mean Oh or Zero) was the big surprise. I figured a 42-38 type of game....but 7 stinking points????????????? :x :x Next Saturday, M vs. N.D. Wow!! Could there be a game the nation could care LESS about?

Early impressions, Okie is looking awesome, Florida could be a machine and USC is looking like a National Title Contender. Go GAMECOCKS!!!

I'd fear SC before I'd fear Ga this year. It's obvious that Stafford got big head syndrome after last week. Notice how I didn't say a word about the Dawgs anywhere about their meeting with SC? Spurrier was due. Vols looked like crap the first half but that's what happens when you never change your game play in 15+ yrs with Fulmer. Alabama didn't look good either and should be another year of Vol victory over them.

Someone told me today Mike Vick was joining the Georgia coaching staff.

Someone needs to teach those Dawgs to fight.

Why do they need to join a conference?
