The Shell holds less than 10,000. I had reserved when I was there 2 years ago but since it's so small the lawn is probably pretty close compared to the sheds on the mainland.

We should get there in time for any pre-concert phlockings!

According to your Travel Agent/wife, I believe we are going to stay thru Sunday so we can really enjoy Dukes.

Thanks for the info :) I think i'll go with the lawn this time around, we were nice and close earlier this year at Pizza Hut Park.

One thing to consider is the noise ordinance. In 2005 a friend who lives in Honolulu bought my lawn tickets and said the sound back there was awful....

I would really love to go back but I just don't think it'll work out. The timing isn't good at all.

For those considering lawn tickets, I would be cautious of the Shell. I've heard the sound can be rough. Worse though, security is lax and people are usually jumping the wall to get into the show. You may find yourself in very tight company surrounded by people who are not necessarily huge JB fans. I'd expect lots of cell phones and chatter during anything not named "Margaritaville".

Last go round, the reserved seats were a party. Security didn't care that everybody crashed into the aisles and danced all night. It was chaos but in a good way.
