Post by Mr. Trumpet »

Beware of Ticket scam.....Dwayne Hiatt of Deerhaven, Washington ?!? He contacted me offering to sell four pavilion tickets for July 28, 2007 Alpine Valley concert. Requested a usps check be sent prior to sending the tickets. Check sent. never a word or the tickets. BEWARE. I "learned" the hard way....

Bummer. :( Did this person post on BN? Did you mail them via USPS? That's mail fraud, and punishable. Do you have an address? Have you checked for any recourse any other way??

I had posted on BN looking for Alpine tickets initially and he contacted me. I did talk with USPS and they had me fill out a mail fraud report, but apparently this is rather commonplace. It's a lesson I learned and hope others do not have to face.
