Sound Quality At First Midwest bank/Tinley Park
First time at this venue for me and have heard only bad things about the sound quality. Just wanted to know from somebody who has seen Jimmy there. Is the sound system really that bad?

Been to the World in tinley park too many times to count. In the past 3 years I have probably been to bout 7 or 8 shows there-- never sat farther back then 20th row in section 103. Many concrete pilars screw the sound up and so do the sky boxes that they have.trying to reason wrote:First time at this venue for me and have heard only bad things about the sound quality. As long as your in section 103 in the first 20 rows or so, you will be fine. Otherwise well Drink up .

Over the years it has existed, I have been to over 30 concerts there. Sound isn't great, but it has improved a lot. But Big Jimmy is right about the pillars and the skyboxes-they don't help.
I am always way back in the pavillion, and have felt the sound was actually pretty decent.

Been there twice and on the lawn both times. Sound was HORRIBLE in 2003 - couldn't even hear. Last year, though, was MUCH MUCH better. No complaints at all.ejr wrote:Over the years it has existed, I have been to over 30 concerts there. Sound isn't great, but it has improved a lot.
