I called the stadium to check on when they are opening the stadium parking lots. I was told 3:30 pm is the opening of the parking lot, 6:00 PM they are openning the stadium gates, and they plan on the show starting at 7:30 PM. They did say they would be charging for parking but could not tell me how much. The person who tells you how much was out today, yeah weird.

Right now I'm planning on parking in what locals still refer to as P2 but apparently has changed to lot 3, it's right next to the gate.

Oh, and Gillete is big. Unless your seats are on the field you may have a half mile walk from the gate to your seats in the first two levels but if you are in the third level it is over a mile and be sure to bring binoculars or you won't see anything on the stage.

We'll be tailgating and have shade, grill, too much food, and too much drink. It's going to be an awesome day.

Opening

Post by RedSoxParrotHead »

I hate to cast boubt and concern around the parking situation at Buffett but I too called Gillette and they told me the lots aren't open until 4:30! So maybe it depends on who you talk to or maybe there's some confusion. I know last I looked their web site had 3:30 & 4:30 as the opening time on different locations of the web site...

The private lots will be open as soon as the first cars start rolling in I bet. I plan to park in a private lot across the street I hear is opening at 12:30.

Then End Zone opens at 9AM!

We should be to the End Zone by 10ish. Looks like it will be 3 RV's in our group including Bixx. We also will have grills, and all the assorted crap.

Does anyone know how the seating on the field works? If you are looking at the stage is seat 1 on the left or right of the section???

Transportation to Foxboro

Post by sunshine brian »

There doesn't seem to be any public transportation to Foxboro from Boston. We are staying at the Doubletree Suites. Who has a plan to get there without driving?
