If there are any I will call someone who has the phone list and go from there. If none of the lots are opening until 3 then I'll go back to my room, take a nap, watch the Red Sox then go back at 3.
If you want I can set you up with a hotline number where you can leave a message and everyone can call in to get the information. I've used this setup for the last 3 tailgates I've done and it's worked out pretty well for us. Send me a PM if you're interested, it won't cost anything.

So, now that I'm thoroughly confused, what exactly is the deal for Sept. 2? Just kinda show up and take a chance? What's the best bet and where's the party at the end of the world going down?

Not exactly tropical looking for Sunday, but a welcome relief for anyone coming up from the south.

Was almost able to pull it off and make it, but in the end there was not quite enough advance planning.

It'll be ALMOST as good on the setlist...

Y'all have fun!!

Take it for what it's worth. A friend of mine knows someone who works for TeamOps, the company in charge of security, parking and stadium personal at Gillette. I asked my friend to email him for me trying to get any new info. Nothing ground breaking but it pretty much confirms that they are not opening the Gillette lots until around 3:30. He also said parking personal are scheduled to arrive 3 hours early to set up which means noon-ish, not the 8am time that has been floated around. I asked him if he could tell me more info about the stadium parking and asked if he knew anything about the private lots, seeing he works there I figure he would have the latest, he works in the parking lot as either a flagger or security. Here is his reply back which was fdw to me:

Parking lots open at 3:30 and if you arrive earlier they make you wait on Route 1. It is going to be a nightmare with people arriving early.I know for the football game they turned people around and I think some went to some bars along rt 1.It's all in fun though. Even though the lots may not be open yet, all the parking people will be there 3 hours before to set up. people will come early in the morning, but they will be waiting in line for hours. There are private lots but they are not owned by Gillette and I don't know anything about them. , but some peoole charge a lot and you will have to walk a bit. The best lots for tailgating are: lot 50(formally known as p10), 51(formally know as p11), lot 20, lot 3 or p3(formally know as p2), and lot 22(or west club, but only if its not vip that day). good luck and have fun!
I will be busy that night but I love my job so I don't mind.Have fun at the concert:)

The hotline number is 800-604-0838

Everyone save it to your cell phones and call it Sunday morning.

I sent the instructions to BottleofRum, and he's going to update the recording after checking out the parking situation. Having the hotline lets him get current information out to everyone without getting calls on his cell phone or having to call everyone on the phone list.

Carry on.

I just want to thank everyone who is paving the way for those of us going on the 8th. I have to say I'm glad our group chose the 8th so we'll at least have some idea of what's going to go on.

Have a GREAT time regardless of when the tailgating begins!

Here is the phone number for the Mass State Police Foxboro Barracks

They are in charge of Route 1 which the stadium is on and are the major force behind the change

(508) 543-8550

I'm sure someone there will give you the definitive answer on when the lots do or do not open

If they are no help, try the Foxboro Police at 508-543-4343

Good luck on Sunday pholks

There were some really good seats for Sunday the last time I looked. Still tix for next weekend too but so far nothing as good as the one I have. We have FOUR people who cancelled and so far can't find anyone to take the tickets for next Saturday - and they are really good field seats. Although most of my friends are in real estate sales so they have no extra $$ right now anyway. And truthfully, if I didn't mind bailing on my friends I'd reconsider going at all. But I'll reserve judgement until I hear how it goes on Sunday.

from what I saw it is just singles way in the back in 300 sections where you would need the Hubble Telescope to see anything. According to the local authorities, Gillette submitted that over 120,000 tickets have been sold for both shows which is close to 3 times the number for Great Woods (smaller capacity obviously) . . . looks like the powers that be are trying to squeeze every last dime they can out of this . . . when I tried ticketmaster just 5 minutes ago for sh&ts and giggles all I could get was a single seat roughly 100 yards from the stage in the second to back row of the upper level.

I stand corrected . . . tried again and a pair came up in section 111. Wow!

they were giving tickets away at to military yesterday.... 4 tickets per person. maybe crummy seats, don't know, but these are a long way from sellout....
