opening act
Assuming we can all park and get in the stadium, I head JB say there is an opening act for the stadium shows. Any guesses on what the start times for the opening act and JB will be?

And as I grow older, there is so much that I do not know. I'm drawn to those who are bolder and go where no one dares to go...

Re: opening act
I think they just don't want everyone trying to get in at the same time, although if they had any sense at all they wouldn't be waiting to PARK everyone til 3:30 either.cammac wrote:Opening act! Weird that its gone now.cammac wrote:Just rambling but the point is, I thought I was past all this, now I feel like I'm 19 again and going to a Black Sabbath concert at New Haven Coliseum. I've been to more than a few concerts in my day. And while I admit I've never seen more drinking than at a Buffett concert, I have also never seen more good hearted fun or less trouble than at a Buffett concert.
Seriously, Buffett fans for the most part, have a lot of concert experience and left most of the hell rising behind them. Maybe its the age, maybe its the maturity (though grass skirts and coconut bras might challenge the maturity point), or maybe after all these years we've figured out how to have fun while leaving the ego at home.
Just rambling but the point is, I thought I was past all this, now I feel like I'm 19 again and going to a Black Sabbath concert at New Haven Coliseum. I'm too old for this S**t
yep, it sounds like the "country music festival" has scared the powers that be. guess they just dont realize that this will be a totally different crowd...not many "hell raisers"

For those who will be at Lir tonight, I MAY be delayed in getting there. I have some things I need to take care of. I may be there around 7:30 PM at the earliest.
If you want an experience, go to a Jimmy Buffett concert.
Experience is something you don't get until just after you need it.

have you read through this thread?
long and the short of it . . . there is a hotline number . . . no body knows where yet because of the parking restrictions.
the hit and run is as good as any religion around this time of year . . .

Re: sunday
That's why I was suggesting to try to car pool it. For the people coming in from the north, we could meet at my hotel and carpool down. Two reasons, cuts down on the amount of cars, PLUS cheaper per person for the parking.drunkpirate66 wrote:boardkicker1015 wrote:is there one big party area for people on buffett news like some of the phc do. or do people just and are spread out meet up.

So hopefully we'll see some of you soon. I'll be on the lookout and will call the hotline. My traveling companions are acting like a group of wet squirels- rather wily and hard to pin down,
but will have fun once I get them planted somewhere.
Mr. OttoCal & I are leaving today after work, and will be in the Fenway area for the game tomorrow, not sure if we will actually be at the game or one of the bars, but we'll be around.
Travel safe, look out for Massholes on the MassPike if you are driving that way, and just remember, there is enough beer, booze, and festive sprit to get us through this bumble of a parking lot meet-up situation.
