How much do you drink in a week i mentioned the word parrothead the other day and someone suggested it meant alcoholic

Non drinker here .. but then I did polish off half a bottle of champagne today and couldnt get myself of the couch

PHC's fight an ongoing Public Relations battle about this. Our club frequently turns down gigs to man a "mararita machine" just we don't want to be "too" associated with alcohol consumption.

Personally, the occassional beer or glass of wine after work is fine. Three or four times a year, I'll have me a good drunk, but that's about all the old bones can take

Not at all.

I have several every day... and it has NOTHING to do with being a PH or not.

I said 2-6 on an average week. Sometimes I go a week or 2 with nothing and then there are the others...... a Buffett weekend is sure to be 2-6 ....oops that is without the hyphen.

I'm a social drinker and tend to be the Designated DRIVER when we go out to party. My liver can't take heavy drinking. Everyone makes fun of me because of my WI roots.... but you know what..... you can have fun WITHOUT the use of Alcohol (yes.... its true)

Maybe...1/week if that. Cross Country weeks then its 2-3/week

I don't usually drink during the week, but DH & I often have drinks together on the weekend.
The number depends on whether we are staying in and watching sports, movies, grilling outside or just enjoying each others company.
Sometimes we can get quite lit, other times we just get pleasently mellow.

Of course, we pace ourselves on concert day, but that has been known to get away from us...especially if Jello Shots are involved.

oh yes... especially at alpine... watching the drunks spill their beverages down the hill... and then licking up the spill That's hilarious!

And I think its the "Jello Shots" that get me as well . I generally pace myself through the day and stop drinking after the concert starts.

The amount one can drink is really a relative term (say for example I go out twice a week and drink 4 beers each night, that puts me at 8 beers for the week.)

I'm so glad to see this poll. I'm a social drinker also, with an emphasis on social. Rarely do I drink, during the week, and I never drink to get drunk. (Sometimes it just happens)But I'll have a couple of drinks with friends or family to celebrate being together.

I need a 4-8 option. If we have wine, I'll usually have 2 glasses, depending on how good it is- usually once a week. Some nights I'll have a beer.

Although I just found out how deep the alcoholism runs in Tom's family, so we may cut back considerably pretty soon.

I drink when I want or need to. It varies from week to week but never goes below 10 and those are usually 1/2 rum 1/2 diet coke or sprite. Which equals to about 4 oz of rum per glass.

So far, more than 50 % are 6 or fewer a week...
That shakes the PH myth....

I put 0-2 a week. Except for a week in Key West, then it's about 2-6 a day. Margaritas are my downfall! If I get started, I just don't stop, so I'm staying away from them! (since last year's Sunny Jim Topless Phlocking)

2-6 for me. Gotta be careful though since it affects the points system of my "diet". However at Buffett gatherings or on weekends all bets are off.

& I'm gonna have to see what's the big deal about diet drinks mixed with rum.

1 -2 a night on week nights.. who knows on weekends..

Not often at all. I'm in the 0-2 range. I have issues "letting my hair down."

I drink a lot....sporadically.....and then I won't drink at all for a while.......just depends on what is going on....if I get together with my friends we drink....a lot.

I fall in the 6-10 a week group.

Usually 1-2 a day, but I'll drink a bunch occasionally if I feel like it.

Sometimes I feel like I shouldn't drink anything at all, so I don't.
