Fort Lauderdale ?

Post by ragtopW »

One night stay.. I am flying in on my way to Key West
and my flight is in around 10 PM
so it will most likely be to the hotel a beer or two and sleep
is there any place near the airport to avoid?
or is it better to drive for a bit?

Unfortunately, Summers is LONG gone on the kinder, gentler Ft. Lauderdale Strip

Dude,

Get in the car and drive. You'll be in the EST...It will only "feel " like 9:00 PM to you. You should be able to make KW by 1:00 AM. Just don't expect to buy rum and beer for a Dark and Stormy in any store.... BUT the bars will sell you for CASH out the back door

In fort lauderdale make it to the mai kai its on federal hwy (US1)

Here is the website. Its truely a tiki place, a little chessy. Have an awsome tiki drink... a little pricey but they are worth it... one will be enough if you you weren't planning on a crazynight or will have to drive back to the hotel. Their poopoo platter is pretty good along with all the other apps.

sit in the lounge and enjoy!
