Beach Bum Ale
Explain Beach Bum to this beach bum.
I saw it yesterday for the first time sitting with all the rest of the AB products. (No Landshark though)
Standing in the Rite Aid pharmacy in my bare feet and tank top, I just had to purchase a 6-pack despite the $8.49 price (not including tax and MI 10 cent deposit).
To me it tasted like a weak attempt at a craft brew, as if it were a 50-50 mix of a real beer and a Bud Select.
Is AB not going to give up on trying to trick the consumer into buying $8+ six-packs just because they have a
Summery theme to them?
They probably saw me coming from a mile away, oh well, I'll get the 60 cents back at least.

amazed that the people you "gave" them to didn't beat you to death with the bottles..Longboardn' ASEL&S wrote:dnw wrote:Not a beer drinker--but I like the name.
Takes more than a cool name and picturesque lable.
I thought Miller Chill was the coolest name and the most refreshing looking bottle I had ever seen.
I drank half of one, and gave the rest away.
Made no friends.
That stuff is flat nasty

I was a bit worried about that as well.RinglingRingling wrote:

Actually it was worse, they were the maintenence workers at the FL motel we were staying at.
Good thing nothing broke down in our room-I would have to repair it myself most likely!

But you have to agree, the story is much better with Mr. Russler....RinglingRingling wrote:it works, kinda like the beer. (I was also waiting for Tiki Bar, Harbor Baby, and Lisa34, but they didn't seem relevant to the story...)

Agree with your analysis on the taste. I'd drink more with Johnny Russler of the Beach Bum Band, just because. Especially since the curly blonde haired dude's resemblance to Johnny is uncanny! (See my avatar.)
Miller Chill... UNdrinkable, with a license to chill or not!
And you can never go wrong with a Red Stripe!!
You’re still grinning, we’re still winning, nothing left to say
