*snicker* You know, I think I may try that. I've dodged the security and gotten a camera in before (have also managed to palm the water bottle cap they wanted me to throw away), but that was in my pocket and I always felt a little chancy about it as I tried to angle that side of my body away from the guard but still look innocent. Despite the cracks I'll undoubtedly get from my group, I like this idea. :D

At the last Irvine show, we were waiting across the street for the lot to open. At 2:20 we started driving around in circles hoping they would open the lot...they finally did at 2:40 or so. We were one of the first in. I'm always hoping that they will open it earlier than 3pm...but at the last 2 Irvine shows this hasn't been true...I'm almost getting tired of waiting across the street...will probably just show up at 2:30 this year and try to get right in...

I bet they can't open any earlier because the parking attendants probably are schedule to arrive at 2:30 for their shift.

Here's hoping this will all be false information this year...

I got a disposable camera in last year without any problems, but the pictures came out terrible, so this year I would like to bring my digital to the show. My problem is I am taking a hotel shuttle to the show, and I won't have anyplace to store the camera if they stop me. Any suggestions??

It would probably cost me about $5000 to get a nice set of boobs...plus I'd look rather funny the other 360 days of the year (I guess I'd look relatively normal the 5 days a year I go to Buffett concerts). I think I'll pass....but thanks for the suggestion.

I'm just passing out info that I know to be deemed true and reliable. It has never failed me yet. Maybe you just need to find someone to be the boob smuggler?

Las Brisas is not that far really in miles but getting there may take a little while just because of the traffic on PCH but if you cut through the canyon its a bit quicker. It would take you arund 30 minutes give or take a few. Awesome place. Do the brunch if you can.

I believe someone is setting up a get together Friday evening. I hear it's a great place with a wonderful view.

I can't believe the lack of hype for Irvine. Everyone knows Irvine has the best tailgate party in the country.

That's what I keep hearing but I haven't been impressed with the after ticket sales hype. There was more hype pre ticket sales then post ticket sales.

Next post out east from the Gillette Stadium Jimmy tailgate Sunday or somewhere on the way.....

We are flying out of John Wayne tomorrow headed east to meet our bus waiting for us in Philadelphia...driving it up for the Chesney show Saturday night in Hartford, then on to both the 9/2 and 9/8 Buffett shows.....

If anyone is going to Boston's Gillette Stadium from OC, LA or SD....look for our 45 'black and silver tour bus with "FINS BUS" California plates starting at about 10 am both shows in lot P10.....stop by for a cocktail!

FINS UP!!!

I didn't know that this was Tommy's kind of gig, but damn that is some good/bad stuff. It hit the spot at 5am new year's day, just before the Rose Bowl though. I plan on having punch for this pre-concert tailgate, I STRONGLY recommend it, very tropical punch like. I call it Tenor Death, does that make me Dr. Death?

I have considered all of my options and have decided against the "Boob Job" approach to getting a camera in the show. Going to dive to the show and take the hotel shuttle back, that way I can put the camera in the car if I run into any problems.

Now I have a new questions. Has anyone ever left an auto in the parking lot of Irvine\Verizon Meadows overnight?? Do the ticket, tow, or are they just thankfull you did not attempt to drive home??

Thanks,

BBQMonster

I do believe the car will be towed.

Camera phones seem like the best option when you get down to the grand scheme of things...

As far as getting liquor in: The she-crab always puts ours under some "feminine protection" in her purse, and goes to a young guy for the search... :D
We have never hurt for GOOD TQ inside the venue!
