What were the odds?

When I interviewed with my current company about 18 months ago, I walked into my current bosses boss' office and low and behold he had an array of Parrothead paraphanalia in his office and listening to Buffett when I walked in. Needless to say where the conversation went at that point. All about each other's Buffett experiences. We talked almost nothing about the job and before I left he made a generous offer. One of the topics was how we'd wanted to go to Hawaii to see Buffett play as there was always something preventing it from happening.

That was about 15 months ago...fast forward to this year. Being from Houston, we had a company "meeting" at the Minute Maid park with Mr. Buffett, which by the way was exceptional.

Then most recently...my lovely fiancee (Brit) and I(Texan) were in the middle of making wedding and honeymoon plans and discussing where to go. She wanted to go to the caribbean, and I had no clue except that being from the the Gulf Coast there is no way on God's green earth I'm having a honeymoon in the carribbean in the middle of hurricane season...(wedding is at the end of september)..

So, a few days pass by and she says "How about Hawaii?..." and proceeds to tell me all about the lovely places she has found on Maui to go to and are off the beaten path. I say why not and off she goes making all the plans...and lovely plans they were till the announcement of the Buffett concert on that EXACT SAME WEEK. GET OUT OF TOWN! NO WAY!!! But sure enough ...there it was.

So, now we will be seeing Buffett in Hawaii along with my bosses boss from work...well at the most we will see him only at the Shell and possible Dukes...the rest of our honeymoon....we're doing just that honeymooning.

What were the odds?
