Here you can discuss any other artist including Sunny Jim, Todd Snider, Jerry Jeff Walker, Steve Goodman, James Taylor, Alan Jackson, Bob Marley, Kenny Chesney and others
Kennny is no Jimmy but his shows are fun! We had a blast at the Philly all day stadium show. For country acts musically I prefer Keith Urban who puts on an amazing show, but I really enjoy the atmosphere of a Kenny Chesney show- it is a fun time!

DING DING DING.. we have a winner
but Lar.. he's a very rich, mega chick getting, lightweight
Are you sure about the chick thing?
LOL.. well he came on TV and when the rumors began to flair about him being gay he said "at first I didn't care and then it just kept getting bigger, I am not gay" Then he went on to say that it got worse because of the divorce the way the Cali laws are written as to what you can and can't say in a divorce.
I think what is that people are threatened by Chesney
How do I mean ? Well being is sort of a cool club. And, let's face it, usually for an older audience.
Chesney is doing pretty much the same act, but attracting a younger fan base
So what was once this semi exclusive cool club has now been copied. And that upsets people that think the beach lifestyle is theirs and no one else's. The bandwagon was jumped on and they dont like it.

I mean the beach lifestyle bandwagon my friend
And if that wasn't cool to do, as in try something new and find out you liked it and became a fan, none of us would be here now would we
I saw him in Chicago and was far from impressed. The sound was awful as in there wasn't any in the lawn. The crowd was a bunch of trashed minors. The opening acts were fantastic and then Kenny just ripped through his hitlist . . . no conversation . . . no personalization. He tries.
I'll stick to the CD's from here on. I was really unimpressed. I like the guys music but the live show for all it is built up to be was pretty boring and at times bad.
The Parrot Dice Lounge kinda like a mirage. Here today and gone tomorrow. You should stop by and say hello when visiting Chicago on tour.

again... the last ones on the bandwagon will fall off when something new catches their eye, and in the meantime, they make it a lot more crowded and uncomfortable for the early-adopters.

Reminds me of how I was in college. I was a big alternative music fan. I thought everything else was crap. Any band that had a hit was a sell out and anyone that liked them after I did wasnt an early-adopter as you put it and only worthy of my scorn and derision. I was like the guys from High Fidelity in the record store.
What I failed to see at the time was it was making what I liked more popular, and ensuring that there would be more of it for a long time to come
As a long time Bruce fan and later a Bon Jovi fan this situation seems similar. A lot of Bruce fans love to dump on Bon Jovi and hey, I know Jon and Richie don't write like Bruce but they capture the same energy of great Jersey shore rock and roll shows and I love both. Kenny is not Jimmy but his shows are fun and capture the island party spirit. It is all good to me.
