Finally -- scalpers take the pipe!!

Post by tryin' to reason »

Based upon the incredible lack of activity on ebay for Gillette tickets, I'd guess a goodly number of scalpers are taking a bath on these two shows.

Maybe there is a maximum-sized venue that Jimmy should not exceed...

Stadium shows (and math) s***.

Same thing happened at PNC Park in Pittsburgh in 2005.

Poor scalpers...

Maybe Jimmy knew what he was doing with the way he released dates and ticket sales this year?!? Maybe more real fans got their tickets and didn't need the scalpers. Hmmmm  :wench:

I've said it repeatedly on these boards ....... Parrotheads themselves are the reason tickets sell out so fast.

Not brokers.

Not Ticketmaster.

Ourselves.

Well Gillette has a ton of luxury boxes and the club seating area

A lot of shows "sell out" because they give tickets to radio stations, promoters, beer companies etc etc etc

With Gillette, you can take care of those people without taking tickets away from the fans. Thus more are available to the general public

Maybe the high cost of tickets for Jimmy and other popular artists' shows has helped to alleviate some of the scalping. I'm by no means poor, but eating a $136.00 ticket isn't something that I want to do everyday. I just spent $933.00 for six ticket at Toyota Park but I know that all of them are spoken for. I'm not particularly excited about the new venue but the sound has to be better than at Tinley Park.
