Those of you who homebrew will know who I'm talking about.

I met Mr. Jackson in 1993 at the Oregon Brewers Festival after the AHA convention. We had just received samples of Bridgeport's festival beer, Pin Tail Ale and he asked me what I thought of it. I was very surprised (and pleased) when my comments ended up in the next edition of his "Pocket Guide to Beer."

If any one person could be named as the one responsible for creating the microbrew/home brew/craft brew explosion over the last 20-30 years, it would be him, and I thank him for it every time I enjoy a new and unique beer.
