I had never stood in line, I had never even tried to see Buffett before, but I felt this was my year. I went to a Watkinsville, Ga Publix around 7:30 the day after St. Patrick's day when tickets were going on sale at 10 am. I was there before a lot of the crowd because they were doing tickets by lottery. I'm not usually lucky so I hooked up with a group of guys and we were going to go all together with the first person in line. Well, there ended up being hundreds of people showing up, which i was surprised because I didn't think anyone would come that far out of the way from Atlanta or Athens (where i was living).

Well, the luckiest day of my life was when I pulled out a number from that lottery. I drew a number and asked what number I was, since it was pretty high. I WAS THE FIRST PERSON TO GET TICKETS!!! I couldn't believe it. One of the guys got 4th so he just took the other guys with him. But, I felt like I was destined to go, and I am so excited, being a pretty new fan of Buffett.

I will be at the concert Saturday July 15 at Lakewood in Atlanta, GA.

Have a good time at the concert! We'll be anxious to hear about it and your impression as a Buffett virgin no more.

Glad you got tickets...we bought 3 lawn tickets from a scalper the day of the show for $100 each. We were told, 30 minutes before show start by the Lakewood Amp staff, that they were bogus and had them confiscated. We tried to find the thug who sold them to us, but we couldn't find him. I was IRATE!

diver...did your tickets "look" or "feel" any different than official tickets? and how did the gatekeepers determine that they were fakes? just curious...info might be useful to those of us who sometimes have no choice but to deal with fradulent scalper-scum
