Lady Antebellum - Something new for ya'll

Post by HsvParrothead »

I first discovered Lady Antebellum last Winter at 3rd & Lindsley, a popular club for songwriters/artist in Nashville. I thought they had great potential and would soon be signed and break out big IMHO! This vocal trio consist of Charles Kelley, Hillary Scott and Dave Haywood. I have followed them via Myspace eversince.. and in April they were signed by the Capitol Nashville label.

Of course they had some help, as is required, along the way. They just formed Lady Antebellum last Summer (2006).. Hillary Scott is the daughter of Linda Davis and Charles Kelley is the younger brother of pop artist Josh Kelley. Plus, Hillary was already working with hit songwriter Victoria Shaw - who went on to become their producer during development.

Nonetheless... they working their marketing angles pretty well.. they have several youtube videos from the road that they continually update and I enjoy watching.. plus, I'm totally diggin on their sound. I think their going to do good for themselves and their already opening up for some big artist incl. Carrie Underwood!

Their first single, "Love Dont Live Here" goes to country radio on October 1st and will be available on iTunes the following day..

SO.. CHECK 'EM OUT! :D
