I just got back from the ticket outlet where I've gotten tickets for many years. They said there that ALL Ticketmaster outlets are now required by Ticketmaster to hold a lottery to determine places in line. So it doesn't matter if you are first in line (I was) or 200th in line, everyone has the same chance of being the first one to get to the counter. Just thought everyone would want to know this information.

Anon - it's been that way in GA since I've been here......Last year a guy about 5 from the end of the line picked #1.

hat policy is posted right on their website. Even if just two people show up they are REQUIRED to give out #'s. How ridiculous is THAT!

Lottery my •••.

The "lottery" system in place at a Kroger in Bloomington in Indiana was to randomly draw a number and have all tickets line up in order behind that person. If you had a lower number than the one drawn, you got the pleasure of watching everyone which came in at the last minute go ahead of you, since they had higher numbers.

Does this sound like a fair way of dealing with a line of people? There were only about thirty of us there!

Just gotta love Ticketmaster.

This is my first post...so here goes. Has anyone cruised by ebay? I did on 3/23 around 1145p.m. Some "gentleman" is already selling lawn tickets to the Nissan show. He has 7 listings...not including his tickets for Cincy and Indy. Further more he is advertising the shows as sold out.
It's little wonder true fans can't get tickets.
Oh well see everyone in line.

The guy that came in LAST at our Krogur's number was drawn first. Go figure. However, there was a 10 minute block on tix in Lexington, KY. Never has that occurred in the past. The guy got lawn though. Everyone else in line was shutout.

If I could borrow Jimmy's words from Montessori this past November...why didn't the ones who camped out and were before the SOB who showed up at the last minute, "quietly get up & beat the •••• out of him" (that was for a cellular penalty), especially since he got lawn tix? Remember, that was Jimmy's suggestion & words, but I'd bet JB would still advocate it if he had been the first in line like my husband has been for years & got screwed by ticket bastard last year by opening phone & on-line sales before sales to people waiting at their outlets & then this year with their lottery. Now, I am NOT condoning violence, but perhaps intimidation....

While I was patiently waiting in line and frantically dialing my cell phone- A family of 4 in front of me was able to get on the phone with TM twice, once getting 6 lawn, and the other time the TM agent screwed up the order and gave her 6 for lawn and 6 for pavillion. They proceeded to buy 24 more tickets at the counter. 2 people after them were able to get 2 tickets each max before it sold out 5 people in front of me. How fair is that? They got 48 tickets to my none.
Any info on availbale Star Lake tickets would be greatly appreciated.

We got 5 in section 303 at Nissan, and we got through to Ticketmaster at 2 minutes before 10:00. How is that possible that they were the best seats before they even (officially) went on sale? Oh well, can't b**** too much least we got 'em. Sorry to those who didn't.

We were standing in line this morning and didn't
get tickets. We got there at 9:00. The store didn't open their doors until 10:00. Last year
they did open at 9:00 to stand in line. This
morning by 10:30 they were sold out. I regret not trying the phone or the computer to get through
because it was a definite waste to go stand in line. Burgh Bird, sorry you didn't get tickets.
I know you are a die hard phan. To everyone else,
hope you did better than we did.

I was at work and had my computer, the phone on my desk and my cell phone all fired up and ready to go. Just before 10:00 my boss walks in the office and starts telling me what has to be done today, something he had already told me last night before I left the office. He stayed until almost 10:30, then I couldn't get through on the phone or log on to ticketmaster.com. Where are that man's priorities? Doesn't he know Buffett always comes before work?

My daughter drew the first ticket in our line lottery in phoenix; needless to say I was quite excited. However, seconds after tickets went on sale, I received tickets in the 300 section (teh worst of the three reseved section-spitting distance from the lawn. The secong guy in line got 2 rows behind me, and the third peson got lawn, reserved was supposedly sold out. Although disappointed with being first in line, but so far back, I figured, "I guess I was lucky to even get reserved seats."
WELL- when I got home, I immediately got online and there were reserved seats ALL OVER on TICKETMASTER, even better than the ones I was sold in line. How does this happen?!?!? I know the lame excuses-tickets are released, transactions don't go through, people change their minds, BUT I WAS FIRST!!!!!!! THERE WASN'T TIME FOR ALL THAT TO HAPPEN. I hate ticketmaster, ticket brokers, ticket scalpers, and Lakers fans ( I know they have nothing to do with this, I just can't stand Kobe the baby).
Don't get me wrong, I love Jimmy, and I'm gonna have a great time at the show. My 57 year old dad is going to go with me, my wife, and my friends. I'm just bitter, frustrated, and needed to vent to friends who might give a sh#$.
I'm shooting for Irvine tickets on Monday- it's a regular road trip for us; better luck then....
FINS UP!!!!!!!!

I was a little disappointed in the way the Ticketmaster outlet I deal with handled the line position tickets. I got my tickets for the show and everything is fine, but when I called them to confirm that tickets would be onsale, they never mentioned anything to me about the new way of handling things. The place I went to (BACI management/ticket world in Towson, MD) gave out tickets to hold places in line on Thursday at 9am. They had more than ample opportunity to inform me that something like this would be happening, but elected not to. Its funny how far Ticketmaster will go to stop people from camping out at their ticket outlets. Its ironic in that the need to camp for tickets has really been created by their own underhanded ticket practices. I suppose I'm not adding anything to this discussion really. Everybody is p*** off. Thanks for the stress, Ticketmaster!

I learned last year that you can't trust what TicketMaster tells you. I had two different brain-dead TicketMaster employees tell me that ALL Buffett shows would be available at the Boscov's outlet. When my husband got there, they were only selling Nissan. This year my husband couldn't even get anyone to confirm that the outlet in Altoona would be selling Buffett tickets. They even gave him a phone number with the wrong area code. I told him to go for it anyway and he was lucky enough to get Star Lake lawn. What a bunch of idiots.

I usually get skunked by the lottery each year and this year was NO exception - the guy RIGHT BEHIND ME got the winning #, went to the front of the line and I ended up DEAD LAST. However...I brought my wife and whispered in her ear to let about 10 people go in front of her.
She let 6 people in ahead of her and ended up being the 7th person in line.

If I had not told her to move she would've gotten the winning #!! At least she still scored me a ticket for Indy.

Lottery sucks! Ive been going to owings mills md ticketmaster for over 8 years now with no lottery ever taking place. So i get there this year at 2am for nissan to find out there doing a lottery. Well everyone agrees to just go along with the list. 930 comes around and they start the lottery. We all say that we didnt want to do it. Ticket fags didnt care they made us do it anyway. Then i pull a 2 out. Come to find out they put the same amount of #s in the box again and pull one # out. Thats the # they start with it was a 3. There were guys there fri at 6pm waiting. They wanted pavilon. They didnt get it everyone that was in the front only wanted lawn. Not one person got pavilon tickets. At least everyone got tickets waiting in line there.

When tickets to the Tampa show went on sale, we headed up to the local K-mart at about 9:15. There were only about 12 people in line, so I figured we had a good shot at a lucky lottery draw. Guess what? No Lottery!! The store manager decided not to have one because the people in the front of the line didn't want to have a lottery! If I had a crystal ball and saw THAT coming, I would have been down there super early and been first in line myself! Of course I called ticketbastard to complain, but I was told they have no way to police every outlet. Their tone was pretty much TFB! It's something different every year! The year before they had a lottery, but the ticket machine jammed. It's always something.
That really sucks when the person behind you gets the winning ticket. That's also happened to me. I'm Irish but just not ever lucky it seems. I'm already wondering what it will be next time.

I got up at 9:30 saturday morning and came down and got on the computer right away. I tried to get tickets then but of cvourse they weren't onsale then so I had everything ready to go, I was on the screen with the Nissan show. As soon as the purchse tickets for this show icon came up clicked it and then called ticketmaster. It only took a couple seconds to come up online with the message server too busy try again later, and the phone was no better, by the time i finally got through on either one it was about 10:15 and tickets were already sold out. Thanks TICKETBASTARD for makeing it two straight years I got shut out

Buffett 467...the same thing happened to us. Only one person( out of the 7 of us, with 2 PC's, one laptop and 8 phones) got tickets. She got two pavillion seats in Sec. 304. She graciously offered them to me.(She is an angel and I will lvoe her forever). TM told us to keep calling back and maybe there would be tickets available from those who ordered over the limit and those who returned those for whatever reasons. So far, no luck with that. Ticketmaster is going down.

buffett467 .... you got out of bed at 9:30am Saturday morning and couldn't get tickets online when you and tens of thousands of others were also trying to get tickets online at the same time? ...... and you blame TicketMaster!! ?? Get out of bed a little earlier and take some accountability. You didn't get tickets because you put no effort into trying to get tickets. Online and over the phone is a longshot. If that's the method you choose for getting tickets, you've got to acknowledge the odds and blame yourself. It's not the casino's fault you tried to fill an inside straight flush.
