Big Mahalo
I would just like to thank everyone for attending our 5 O'clock on the Beach party, and helping make it such a big success. It went far beyond anything we had envisioned several months ago when we started putting everything together. We were initially wondering if we would be able to get 75 people, I think we had around 350! Would like to apologize for the long bar lines, and thank you all for being patient. I don't think the Elks is used to serving that many drinks. We told them it was a Parrothead Party, but I don't really think they knew what that meant! Also would like to give a special Mahalo to Bill Ansel for helping organizing activities and promoting our event on BuffettNews. Really wish he could have been here to enjoy it all.
It was great meeting everyone in person. If any of you are back in the islands again, make sure and look us up.
Hope everyone has a safe trip back home.
Aloha,
Lee

I need to say a Big Mahalo back to everyone in the Pau Hauna Parrothead Club, and to Bill for the stuff he organized. We had to stay on the fringe a bit, but had a blast at the Elk's Lodge. It was great meeting Dave and Tammy from MD (though we never did see you at Waikoloa... we really thought we would!). Mahalo also to whoever was in our seats at the concert
. I'm glad you wanted to sit with your friends... your seats were WAY better than our original ones, and you truly made my birthday. Cowboyjunkie and geekiegecko, thanks for your recommendations and help on both islands. You made our trip quite a bit more enjoyable. It just sucks being back on the mainland. Real life and (non-tropical) rain are such a drag. I really wish I could hang out with Manta Rays and sea turtles all the time... Someday I will...
You all have a very special place to live. Thanks for sharing!

Yes, Yes, forgot about the Tropical Itch at Duke's! (Needed that back scratcher when I burned a tad after too long on Wai-Kee-Kee!) And a few drink tickets came home in our suitcase too. Oh well, we just consider it a contribution to the Hawaii Parrotheads for delivering such a wonderful pre-concert celebration.Karacal wrote:We just need to go back to Hawaii and get all the Mai Tai's we want!flipflopgirl wrote:cowboyjunkie wrote:I found a drink ticket in my pocket.
