Need something else to listen to.....

Post by baybreeze »

I can't listen to my JB collection anymore without getting seriously depressed and crying like a big baby.

Also can't listen to my Peter Mayer or Sunny Jim stuff without getting all choked up and crying.........wish I wasn't such a crier

Anyway, I was hoping someone could recommend a Jim Morris CD for me to try.......hopefully without the same stupid reaction on my part.

Suggestions???

Check out "Seafood Platter"
But stay away from tracks, 6,10,13 & 17.
They're great songs but might make you a little misty-eyed. :(

Laid Back and Key Wasted is one of my Favorites.

Have you tried the Boat Drunks? Both of their CDs are great.

I'd suggest Tropical Soul's No Plans at All http://cdbaby.com/cd/mccaughey2. Love that CD. Or for Jim Morris, try Live at Octoberfish. A lot of good songs on that one.
Love in the library, quiet and cool.

Baybreeze:
You should go to www.cdbaby.com
There is a "sounds like" option, select Jimmy Buffett and buttloads of artists pop up.
The cool thing is you can sample whole albums.

I'm pretty picky when it comes to "trop rock". Not a big fan of fake steel drums and drum machines.
After some sampling last night, I'm gonna get a few of Howard Livingston & Mile Marker 24 and Kelly Mcguire's "Boat In Belize" sounds great too.

* edit
I see that Loren has already suggested this
