At a TM outlet in PA, pavilion were announced as "Sold Out" before a single ticket had been sold. How does this happen? I've heard of seats being held back, reserved for VIP's, etc. But how is there not a single seat for sale?

I finally got through on the phone after being on hold for 20 minutes...had three lines going plus internet...the woman told me it was sold out...only handicapped access available...she said that she sold tickets to a guy at 10:02am and there was only lawn seats left at that time....something's not right here!!

I kept getting the "can't fulfill requests" message from 10:10 until 10:40, then for whatever reason, I got through in a flash twice in a row and pulled 2 single lawn seats, which were good enough for me.
I think one reason for faster sales has to be the express order feature, it takes mere seconds now to order tickets, and I would assume that most people bought 6.

Might as well chime in with my experience...
After standing in line once a year for the past 8 years at least for the Camden show, and being at the back end of line after the lottery, it was finally my turn for some luck. I was first in line at the Ticketmaster outlet we chose to go to this year. And my fiancee was only 5 people behind me. Even though I was first, the best I could do was Section 104, Row T. Not horrible but not anywhere near what someone first in line should get. Then my fiancee got 6 lawn tickets bringing us to a total of 12. So, I am content. We were lucky to have scouted out a place that just started as a ticketmaster outlet and there were only about 25-30 other people who knew about it. It will probably be a different story next year. About a half-dozen other people we usually go with tried the telephone and online options only to come up empty. As much as we b**** and moan about the ticketmaster "in-person" outlets, you almost HAVE to go that route. It really fires me up when I hear people whine about not getting tickets when all they did was try the phone and the computer. You want to go to the show? Then get out of bed, put on some warm clothes, stop and get a cup of coffee and come stand in line. Not only will you appreciate the effort you put forth into getting your tickets, you'll probably meet some very nice people in line as well. Just as we did. I'm going to sound cold and unsympathetic, and I apologize for that, but I do not feel sorry for any of you who did not get tickets by only utilizing the 2 stay-at-home methods. I'm not strutting my stuff because I was first in line (remember, I paid my dues and brought up the end of the line every year; and I still got tickets those years too, by the way). So, yes, Ticketmaster has a lot of flaws, but the last thing any of you who did not get tickets via the web or phone need to be doing is crying about the way Ticketmaster does their business.
I hope all your homes were nice, warm and cozy this morning while that phone was attached to your ear and you got that "Unable to process request message" on your PC. Maybe I'll see you in line somewhere next year.

After standing in line almost 2 hours in the rain and securing a number 10 spot in line, I still wasn't able to get tickets at the Bob Carpenter Center. Only 4 people got tickets and they didn't start selling until almost 10:10. There has to be a better way to get tickets than this!

I got screwed by the Ticketbastard lottery this year. But it's the only fair way to keep scalpers on their toes. I'm sure lots of people share my pain of being the person who has number 51 and they pull ticket 52 to start the line and then wait in line anyway only to have the woman in front of you get the last seats in the building...Oh well.
I'm still going to be in the parking lot at 2:00pm on September 6th. Phins Up!!!
