Last year as my husband & I stood in line for tix to Cincy or Indy I started to feel "whoozie". We left the music store (with tix in hand) & drove
directly to the drugstore - One EPT test later - we were happy to find the results were positive. We sold our tix - since I didn't think it would be wise to trot around the concert just a few weeks away from delivery & missed Jimmy that year. This year we were lucky enough to win the number one spot in line to purchase Indy tix. & ended up with great pavilion tix this year which we look forward to sharing wi/ our parrothead inlaws!!

Romey Lee,
I am delighted to hear that you realized that being a mom starts long before the birth and wisely stayed out of what could've been a potentially dangerous situation should you have gone into labor. Surprisingly, not every pregnant woman takes these things into consideration. A couple of years ago I went with my husband to Richmond to the NASCAR race, 3 hours away. Upon my return, one of my partners asked me if I had gone to the race in Richmond. When I told him I did indeed, he asked me why I took the triplets with me. One of our patients with triplets who was on BEDREST decided to go to Richmond for the race and paged the on-call person from the practice to tell him she was experiencing complications. Needless to say, the outcome was not a good one.

Buffy -- you ever heard of Christine Lavin? She's got a song called 'Sensitive New Age Guys' that I think would be highly appropriate.....

Isn't Christine Lavin one of the women who call themselves 4 Bitchin' Babes? There's a guy on the radio here in NY named Vin Scelsa who does a Sunday night show, Idiot's Delight, and he plays a lot of out of the mainstream type music. He's played some of Christine Lavin's stuff and his show is one of the few places where you sometimes hear JB.

LIPH -- that's the one!! In fact, 'Sensitive New Age Guys' is on the live 'Bring Me, Buy Me, Take Me: Life According to Four Bitchin' Babes' album (which is great).......as an audience participation number. Pretty funny. Actually, she's really very talented...'Attainable Love' (which has the studio version of Sensitive etc.) and 'Good Thing He Can't Read My Mind' are both excellent CDs. If you like chick music, but, being, as you are, so in touch with your feminine side.....oh, geez, I can't do this, I need to scratch something.

Actually there are some female singers whose music I like. Shawn Colvin for instance, although I didn't care for her last album, the one with "Sunny Came Home" on it. "Fat City" and "Cover Girl" are really good and there's another album whosse title escapes me right now. I saw her at Jones Beach 4 or 5 years ago, she opened for Jackson Browne. I like Linda Ronstadt's older stuff, before she started looking like Rosie O'Donnell. And a different type music, but Lucinda Williams and Susan Tedeschi are both really good.

I know that feeling! Bought tixs to both Camden and Merriweather last year. Found out a few weeks later that we were expecting keet #2. I was still planing on going to the shows since it would still be early on in the pregnancy (due in Dec 2000). But by the time Camden rolled around I was on strict bedrest and was in the hosp for Merriweather. Had a keet by Sept 2...15 weeks early! Guess she couldn't wait to hear Buba for herself

I guess I was one of the lucky ones...last year I was 5 mos pregnant and still went to the show (it was a very easy pregnancy overall)! Wanted to bring my son this year, but having second thoughts...maybe I'll wait till he's a bit older - there's always next year!
