A spokesman for actor/singer Robert Goulet confirmed to the AP that the singer has died in a Los Angeles hospital while awaiting a lung transplant. He was 73.

One of my favourite Canadian-Americans.
I remember seeing him in a solo concert performance back in the 60s, perhaps before Camelot. He was very impressive!

As a big fan of Broadway musicals, I can only wonder and marvel at what it must have been like to be in the audience when Robert Goulet walked onto the stage for the first time as Lancelot-must have been breathtaking!

Robert Goulet was my Mom's favorite back in the 60's. She was like a teenager at a Beatles concert. Dad called him Robert Gooey just to tweak her a little. Now that he has sailed on, perhaps mom can go see him again.

Sometimes more than others,
we see who and what and where we are,
I'm just a one man band,
With my feet in the sand,
Tonight I just need my guitar
