I just don't get it. Why can't they use the original cast and update it 20 years later? I can promise you the original cast would jump at the chance to reprise their roles. Will not positive about John Hillerman as age could factor in for him.

Hillerman is retired. Who knows if they could coax him back. The brutal truth is, the old cast probably wouldn't carry a big screen production. However, they're forgetting they have a secret weapon, of sorts, available: Lily. She'd be in her 20's now and you could have the hot, smart, (CIA, FBI, NSA, DEA, ATF, DHS, ABCDEFG)-agent daughter and the still-got-it Dad saving the planet (or at least the country).... The supporting cast from the show would be the supporting case in the movie.

I just hope they attempt to do a serious Magnum PI, and not some d*mn spoof. At least give the me the chance to give it a chance.

I never went and saw the movie Pearl Harbor because I heard it was more of a love story. Give me a freaking break. Not to mention I heard from a friend that saw the movie that they used current modern day navy ships in the movie. That ruined it right there for me. A movie about Pearl Harbor that was actually a love story and using modern day ships. To bad because I hear the actual scene of the attack on Pearl was pretty dang good.

Maybe the agent daughter is on a mission to find her missing father who was on assignment with Navy Intelligence, and she enlists the help of TC, Rick and the long retired Higgins. Due to intelligence they have found out they get Robbin Masters to fund the search and rescue of Magnum. Now this is of course using the orginal cast. So what do yall think of this plot so far?

And William H. Macy will be his boss, Higgins. And Steve Zahn will be his friend Rick and Tyrese Gibson will be T.C. Pretty good casting.

Wonder if Matthew will grow a mustache ?
